Robert's Point Track
Awesome track. Not too hard, with some unique track features. Took me 1hr 36mins to get to the viewpoint and a medium to fast walking pace. Well worth the effort for the view. Loads of people at the top though leaving no room to sit.

Epic walk, amazing view of the Glacier. This track is really tough though - slippery, steep, lots of scrambling and climbing. Only suitable for highly mobile people. Take a pole to help on the decent. Took 4hrs moving plus stops (6hrs total as we had long lunch at the lookout). Can't wait to do it again!

Moderately difficult. Definitely requires some base fitness to do this trek/hike. Three bridges. Second bridge is relatively long and shaky. If you are scared of heights, please don’t do it. We took 4 hrs to and fro including staying up there for 30min. Mini waterfalls and streams along the way. Be sure to drink the refreshing natural mountain water.

Lovely view of the glacier at the top and as close as you can get from the ground. The walk is difficult in the rain, so make sure you have full walking gear, as the rocks are slippy and there is some scrambling on tree roots required. Although I would highly recommend this view and walk for the swing bridges, if you only have one day, it might be worth doing the Alex Knob track instead, which is longer, but has a 360 degree view.

Fun track with various terrains to walk/climb/crawl on! Did this track with my 60yr mom, taking 7hrs (to/return) including lunch and multiple rest breaks. I must say we did pretty well considering we have lower-than-average fitness level :PSome tips for the hike:- average fitness I’d reckon faster 4-5hrs- start off arnd 8+am, try to reach the glacier lookout before 12noon for a clear view as it becomes cloudy like ours (some science thing about pressure and condensation)- hire a shuttle to the start point instead it’s $15pp round trip- avoid rainy or wet days. even on a sunny day like ours I still fell/slipped at least 3 times as mini streams cut into paths or wet dense leaf litter- definitely hiking shoes. I had my running shoes on instead but just ensure soles have a good grip- don’t need a filled bottle that adds to bag load, locals say you can refill/drink direct from the flowing streams- get ready to get on your fours, enjoy and have fun!

Great walk with lots of different terrain & awesome view of the glacier at the top! Took us roughly 4.5hours with generous lunch stop. Like everyone says it could be v slippy after rain! Park at the Alex knob car park and cross the road to start it!

The best track to see the glacier. Pretty challenging though with lots of steep climbs and rocks. It's best not to go during the rain or shortly after. It gets super slippery and one of the swing bridges form a huge puddle in the middle. But the glacier view is awesome. Take some lunch with you, there is a picnic table at the viewpoint.

Great 5.5 hours hiking trail, that will bring you to a spot where you have an open view on the glacier. For some, this hike might be challenging, because you'll have to cross side rivers by jumping from rock to rock, walking up and down quiet steep some moments, but I loved this hike!

Robert's Point Track
beautiful track with bridges and stairs on the side of cliffs. It's a bit tactical but can definitely recommend it, be aware that you do need to be in good form for this track. the views of the franz josef glacier and surrounding waterfalls are really nice. There are also springs where you can refill your water bottle with the most delicious water you will ever taste!
