Like many others reviewing here, I did lots of research before settling on Mark for my breast reduction. Again like a few others, we are not rich and this was a big investment for us. Living In Gisborne was a bit of a hurdle but everything else was really plain sailing.Mark was very reassuring at my pre-op appointments and on the day of the surgery (I was very nervous) assured me I was going to be ok - I trusted him - and it was ok - 'Not my first Rodeo' he assured me!I had my breast reduction at the Franklin Hospital in Pukekohe (I have family in Puke) and they were outstanding!The results are better than I could have imagined and it truly has changed me - from an FF cup to a D - I am more confident and my clothes fit me so much better!Money well spent and I would recommend Mark and Georgia (fab comms from Georgia!) every time.Happy to answer questions/discuss my journey with anyone out there too.

Mark and the team made me feel very comfortable thought-out the entire experience and i am thrilled with the result. The team is very approachable and available to answer any questions.My procedure went seamlessly, and recovery was much easier and less painful that i had expected. 5 Stars!

Mark and his team have been great - After extensive research I chose Mark because of his lengthy experience in the field of plastic surgery. People in their reviews scream that Mark is overprized - but I think it is important to understand that you pay a plastic surgeon based on experience and skills. Mark has been doing thousands of breast surgeries - his appointments are short and to the point. Mark gave me exactly the information I needed, he had my full trust and Georgia was there every step of the way. I stayed at Brightside Hospital with the best staff there is. I felt very well looked after!If you want to go cheap and risky - go to Thailand. If you want to go to a top plastic surgeon - you're in great hands with Mark. I am not rich and I had to safe up for years in order to do this surgery - and it was worth every penny!

Mark and his team have been fabulous from the first phone call to make a consultation appointment throughout my on-going recovery. I did do a lot of research on the surgeries I was planning to have but still ended up asking a lot of questions. I have had two procedures done by Mark to remove complicated epidermoid cysts. He and his team have always been friendly and reassuring, and is a perfectionist when it comes to results, and both of my rather long scars have healed really well and I am very happy with the results. I would recommend Mark for any dermatological or cosmetic procedure you might be considering.

Dr Mark Gittos recently did an abdominoplasty on/for me. Mark was clear and concise in his discussions with me, and everything went smoothly.The hospital in Pukekohe was really good, despite being out of town.Georgia’s follow up was awesome, and very calming. This was important, as Mark’s travel schedule meant he was overseas for a significant part of my recovery. I had no complications so that wasn't a problem.I recommend asking lots of pre-op questions and looking at lots of photos to be realistic about the likely outcome before you start. The post-op recovery takes as long as Mark says, so don’t expect everything will be magically better in a few days.Overall, I’m glad I had the surgery and would use Mark again.

Mark is a great surgeon, making what could have been a stressful experience for me very calm and with great results. Both pre operation and post follow ups were also great, I will definitely book with Mark again. It's also very handy that he now operates on the Shore at the North Shore Medical Centre. I highly recommend him and his team.

Please be very careful when choosing a surgeon, I went to mark Gittos for a septoplasty to help my breathing issues with a very very minor hump reduction. I was clear with mark that I did not wish to look different. my concern was my breathing….. and my breathing is now worse than before, I can barely sleep through the night. He over-resected the bridge of my nose, reduced the size of my nostrils, foreshortened the length of my nose and lifted the tip of my nose. This has resulted in my nose looking too small, and very out of proportion to my face. To say I am utterly devastated would be an understatement. I did not ask, consent or even be informed of the extra procedures that were performed by him. When I spoke to him about this he suggested ACC be responsible for any damages and is not responding to me any further. I can see from other reviews here and on other platforms that refusing to address concerns like this is a trend for him.
