Trilby and Lace

Sonia recently was our wedding photographer. We absolutely love our photos! She was so lovely and made us feel so at ease that we have fabulous photos to always remember the amazing day.

We had such a wonderful experience with Sonja and her assistant. Sonja's photography style really gelled with the relaxed and natural vibe we were after and made her an obvious choice. She was extremely helpful leading up to the big day and was flexible to a number of changes we needed to make along the way, even on the day itself. She was also a great personality to share our day with and we really enjoyed shooting with her as she made everything light and easy. We are so happy with the final product, so many beautiful memories even though we chose a shorter package, and they arrived well before we were expecting as well! Thanks so much Sonja.

I can't say thankyou enough to Sonja for capturing our wedding so beautifully! She was so generous with her time and to say I am happy with the photos is an understatement, we will treasure them forever! A few weeks before the wedding I asked if she had time to do a private shoot with just myself, my mum and my 7 month old daughter, these photos were just amazing and so special and I knew then that we had picked the right person to then capture our wedding. Thankyou again Sonja the whole day went so fast so these photos mean the world to us! xx

From the first email we sent to Sonja enquiring about photography for our wedding, she was so helpful and responsive. She took the time to understand what our priorities were and she was very flexible in her approach. Importantly, as we are based overseas and didn’t have the opportunity to visit the venue with Sonja before the wedding, Sonja already knew our venue back to front and knew the best photo spots for different parts of the day, different weather, etc. On the day of our wedding Sonja had meticulously planned based on our brief so we were able to relax knowing she would capture everything we wanted. Throughout the day Sonja went about her business in a very calm, relaxed and unobtrusive manner, and we had many guests comment on how lovely she is. We love the photos of our day and would highly recommend Sonja for anyone planning a Waiheke wedding.

Sonja was an amazing photographer, we couldn’t have asked for a more calm, chill and super nice person to do our photography for our wedding day, such a pleasure to work with! Sonja scoped out the venue before the big day and was super flexible with any changes made at the last minute. She kept us comfy with being in front of the camera and nothing was too hard for her! Sonja was brilliant! Her lovely personality helped us relax and enjoy our day, and the quality of her photos were gorgeous. She was also excellent in the lead-up and planning - happy to talk at length about our plans for the day, logistics, and shoot locations, so we were all ready to go. Because Sonja is more of a 'lifestyle' photographer, the photos came out lovely and natural - just make sure to say if you would like some posed photos (i.e. with certain people). We eloped, so only had a few people there, but totally forgot about getting any posed photos with our small group! I'm sure in a bigger wedding it would be hard to overlook. Whoops! :-) Highly recommend Sonja at Trilby and Lace!!
