This was one of the best places we have ever stayed.Wonderful setting, comfortable room, outstanding evening meal, gracious and attentive host. I relaxed before dinner looking at a book featuring Graeme Sydney paintings and Brian Turner poems. The first few lines of 'Place'summed up our experience'Once in a whileyou may come across a placewhere everythingseems as close to perfectionas you will ever need'

Just a wonderful relaxing place. The garden is truly amazing we could have stayed for a week. Cally and Wendy are true gems, so very welcoming, it's like visiting your favourite aunties!The food is incredible, made by Cally fresh from the garden with the local produce. Simply delicious and of a standard that has to be tasted to believed. Accommodation wonderfully clean and private. Do yourself a favour and book, an experience not to be missed.1 hour 40 mins from Dunedin.

I have a big regret that I could not stay at the Quince any longer than my short one night. Our group had a bike with a broken chain and we had to walk for the last three kilometers. Callie presented me with a beautiful and comfortable room. She laughed when I said it was too good for me!

We were a group of four, Cally and Wendy were warm friendly and witty. We had an evening meal which surpassed many a fine restaurant. (Breakfast too was delicious). Beautiful rooms lovely garden. Peace on earth. Thank you for the quinces!

Stayed overnight when cycling the Roxburgh Gorge and Clutha Gold Trail. Fantastic cottage accommodation, beautiful gardens and welcoming hosts (who went the extra mile to locate fruit we were looking for). The gourmet dinner was superb as well as the breakfast. Great experience and recommend to anyone travelling to Miller’s Flat.

After a long walk on the Gold Trail this was the perfect overnight stop. A lovely location with beautiful gardens to relax in. The room was great and the service first class. The breakfast was delicious.

Cally and Wendy made us feel so welcome after a long day cycling. Our daughter loved that Wendy went out of her way to get her books and games from the local library to keep her entertained, she was lovely with her. The dinner and breakfast Cally made for us was really special, the effort she went to with presentation and flavours we really appreciated. Wendys muesli was devine. And of course the cottage was lovely and cosy, with beautiful open views. Thankyou.

A wonderful stay overnight while cycling the Clutha Gold. Cally is the perfect host and the accommodation and food was excellent.
