Labtests

Very unhappy with the service I received. As a woman who is going through her first pregnancy I would expect my antenatal tests to be a pleasant experience, however this was not that.Upon arriving I was rushed to take a number and “just sit down” when I went to sit in the waiting area I heard a very stern, annoyed toned voice say “no you to go room one!”Once in room, I sit down and begin to explain my history but this staff member wanted to know nothing about it. Didn’t ask me any questions about my history or how I am with needles in general.When I tried to roll my sleeve up it bunched too bad so I unrolled and tried to fix it when she said “just roll it up!” Again, in a very stern annoyed tone.When it came time to prep my arm for bloods to be drawn, she did not wear gloves, only when she went to use the needle did she decide to put them on. Now I’m not 100% certain on rules and regulations regarding gloves but from my previous experiences at other labtest branches, any staff member that has helped me has work gloves throughout the service.Once bloods were drawn, she proceeded to shove the vials in my face and not say anything, I know I need to confirm my details are correct, however having vials shoved in my face felt a little bit inappropriate.Once the service was completed I asked if there would be a charge and she says “you a citizen?” To which I responded “I’m a permanent resident” her reply “no. Have a good day” again in that stern tone.This experience was incredibly uncomfortable and I hope that I’m leaving this review the staff member at this facility will be pulled up on how they treat their patients.

I visited Wed morning at 7:20 and the waiting room was filled up with people. I decided to come back the other day. Thursday morning 7:15, I was the third one in the queue. Very effective and comfortable blood taken. Thanks to the staff.

Usually I go there for my blood test and never I had any issue or pain . But today I’ve explained the worst one ever , different person took my blood , was soo painful and after one second I left I was bleeding. I came back to her , she did not even apologize to me ..

100% good service. Big shout out to Beth and Thet, the senior staffs at this branch. They are so patient and superbly skilled, thank you!To be honest I don't understand the current low rate but I have to say this is the best service among the places I've ever been. It's the second time we're here and I've been to many labs so far because my 3yrs boy needs to take blood every 1-3 months since he was 6 months old, starting being taken from the fingers to veins now. The whole journey was not good at all until we met this lab that we no long worry about finding the next lab with probably nicer staff or having my boy being “needled” multiple times on both arms but still not successful in the end.They listen to their customers and let them relief e.g. when it's really hard to deal with the kid. They are on a different level compared to some other labs.

No separate waiting room for pregnant women to lie down while doing a GTT test. I have done two before in two other centres and was always provided a separate room with a couch, which really helps make it through the 2 hour wait. The technician said most pregnant women vomit here when they do their GTT...not a great thing to hear and I'm not surprised if they don't have anything in place to make those pregnant women more comfortable. Generally I didn't have a good experience here, I found the staff to be a little rude and abrupt in their manner in each interaction I had with them, granted I am a pregnant woman who had been fasting in order to do the test so I would have been grumpier than usual. But in past experiences at other labtest sites I was always made to feel as comfortable as possible.

Went for a blood test this morning and it was as great an experience as getting your blood taken could really be. I saw some bad reviews on here about the Phlebotomists who work there, but my experience was very good. Perhaps the lady everyone was complaining about no longer works here, or perhaps I just didn't get her. Either way, I wanted to leave a good review to balance out all the bad ones.

Unfortunately my experience yesterday getting my gestational diabetes test was not going to be a pleasant experience, and I was prepared for that, however what I witnessed for 2 hrs whilst completing my test was disgusting.There is a specific staff member there?Cara? Who I witnessed being extremely rude to several customers. I actually couldn't beleive how rude she was being.* Another lady who was pregnant, understandably, didn't want to sit on the uncomfortable chairs for 2 hours and requested she wait in her car infront of the lab. This staff member spoke I'll behind her back several times to other staff in reception area making it apparant how angry she was at this customer.* A Chinese elderly man walked in and started speaking to her in Chinese, she raised her hand and abruptly said I dont speak Chinese and walked out of reception"

The stars must have been aligned as when I went it I got seen to immediately but an extremely professional and friendly Beth.Weird thing to notice and comment on but this was the most painless and quick blood test I have ever had.Thank you Beth for the thankless service you provide :D
