Me and my partner stayed one night here and found it one of the best experiences we have had in a hotel, the rooms were super tidy, spacious and comfortable. We would love to stay here again if given the chance and we would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

I recently stayed here on a work trip and found the overall experience to be very disappointing as a result of room standard, cleanliness, food service and service more generally.At first my booking had been cancelled for some reason so it took some time to check in. I understand these things happen from time to time and was okay with this.Arriving in the restaurant just after 8pm on a Thursday I wasn’t able to dine so I decided to get room service after I’d unpacked etc.I ordered room service during kitchen hours and after an hour it had not arrived so I called reception and was on hold for some time and was then assured it would be sorted out.1.5 hours after ordering dinner I got an iron delivered to my room as the first one wasn’t working. At the time I followed up regarding the meal and the staff member who replaced the iron walked off as I was still talking.I called two more times regarding the meal in which I was assured the meal was not far off. Eventually I received a call back at 11:20pm stating that there was a mistake in the kitchen, that it was now closed and I would not be able to get any food.This was very frustrating as I had been waiting up for this and was required to be up early for work meetings.I was offered a breakfast the next day but explained I couldn’t attend due to leaving early. I ended up having to get Uber eats and eating at midnight.Upon checkout I was almost charged for the food I never received. I had to have this removed from the account by a staff member who was quite helpful and said he would get the manager regarding this. Unfortunately the manager did not show up to receive my feedback.The room itself was of a low standard and had dents or scuffs on most walls and was very dusty - particularly the vent above the basin. There was also a liquid running down the back of the door. Overall this was the most disappointing stay I can remember.

Our overnight stay here was awesome. Liz on Reception was very professional and helpful on Check in. Dom the Concierge was amazing and very friendly. Our rooms met our needs and were first class overlooking the harbour and TePapa. We ordered room service and it was pretty prompt. It was very relaxing sitting on the balcony with a drink.The Hippopotamus Restaurant was grand for our evening meal and food was superb. Staff were very attentive. We had a cooked breakfast and my husband had no room for lunch that day. Excellent.Dom was prompt with our car on departure. A great place to stay. It was a very special treat for us. Thanks guys.

Fantastic customer service from all staff. The room and bed are very comfortable, with heating/cooling, a spacious bathroom, and a balcony that has views of Wellington harbour. Location couldn't be better, and there is a valet option for parking so you can pull straight into their driveway without worrying about finding a parking space. There is also an on-site pool and gym available to guests, and free WiFi.

First class room on the 4th floor. Reception Concierge and Bar all brilliant service helping us with some transportation issues and cocktail choices. Fabulous, couldn't rate more highly!

Such a cool hotel, artsy vibe, rooms are all high class and unique. Has a small but reasonable gym, pool and Sauna. Close to town and Te Papa as well as nearby supermarket and transport. Highly recommend this place. Oh and the rooms have Dyson hair dryers!

From beginning to end we really enjoyed our stay here. Love the quirky art, breakfast at Hippopotamus, the room was stunning and lovely staff. Valet parking was easy and effortless, thanks.

I really wanted to give QT Wellington a 5 star review, as I’ve stayed there many times over the past 10 years and always had a great experience. However, on a recent trip in March 2023 the service standards have dropped noticeably. The main issue was the breakfast service - only four options each day, and no longer any buffet. The staff also failed to spot myself and another couple as having paid for breakfast as part of the room rate, which caused some embarrassment. Plus forgot to bring our requested tea and coffee items. I also heard a couple complaining about poor service as they were checking out.Otherwise it’s still a very good hotel - location and bed are particularly good. I hope the staffing issues can be sorted soon.Update: two weeks after having emailed Richard about the poor breakfast experience and still no response. Very poor service, I can understand why recent reviews are so low.
