Flying Nun Records
A great addition to the Newtown community. The record collection is really well curated with no filler and a broad range of genres. There always seems to be some rare gems to reward the persistent. Pricing is on par or better than some of the bigger players in town. The staff are really nice, well informed music fans who really seem to enjoy their work. Highly recommended.

Really excellent service, I ordered a record and it arrived in Auckland next day (despite being right before Christmas & with the extra pressure on couriers these days). It was packaged really well too. And thanks for the sticker!

As a long term lover of Flying Nun I can't express how cool it is now to have an actual physical store just down the road. The selection of albums is fantastic and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The website is top notch as well!

Best record label ever (my subjective opinion!). Good people, good service, good music. I have zero affiliation with FNR; I'm just a random music fanatic. They even let my 5 year old sneak in to take a photo with the nun cutout while they were still setting up shop. Thanks!

Flying Nun records have been part of the New Zealand music scene, and my life, since ages ago. So cool to have this cool little record shop in the coolest little suburb of Wellington. The collection is small but well chosen. I always come away with something new to love.

Fantastic addition to Wellington's record shop scene. Found an album I had been after for ages there a month or so back and Carla plays some fantastic music whilst browsing as well. Good selection of albums that differ from other stores too.

Friendly, fast and they know their stuff. The only problem is sticking to your budget! You can't claim to be a kiwi unless you have at least one old Flying Nun t-shirt in your drawers. (Also great when putting together insurance quotes for vinyl.)

Huge Flying Nun fan since 1989 when every week there was a different FN band playing in Wellington. Awesome days - now that a store has hit the Welly streets it's awesome - Due to Lockdowns & life I've not had a chance to pop instore, but have purchased a few records lately & have had the best experience each time - well communicated, high quality records & delivery was a breeze - would recommend Flying Nun to anyone & everyone. Can't wait to actually get instore to browse through the music - much much more fun than flicking through a computer screen :)
