Mt Towai Peak lookout
I used to go here quite often when I was studying. On a clear day you can see all of Wellington and the upper South Island.

Best view of the hutt Valley on a clear day. I walked the fire break, very steep. All the view's were well worth it

Climb over 300 metres and over look the Hutt Valley and Wellington Harbour. Good exercise.

Beautiful viewpoint. Doesn't take that long to get up - a fit person will need an hour for the whole circuit, but non walkers should allow a couple.

Great walk to get there, wide track, well graded, good surface, with awesome views of the Hutt valley from the top
