So much plastic along the petone beach. Rubbish blowing out of overflowing rubbish bins, and people's reclying bins on reclying day if its windy its blowing straight to the beach

We refer to it as the interesting beach" when deciding which beach to walk our dogs at because it has large grassy feilds to run in and shell covered beach which can be a good swimming spot and garden pathways amongst the bunny tails."

Hikoikoi Reserve
Lovely place to walk the dogs, including access to one end of the beach where dogs are allowed off-lead. There's also Frisbee golf. Toilets are a bit grotty, but there are better ones near the children's play ground if you follow the path towards Petone. Beach is crushed shells. Also used by sail-boarders occasionally.

Great area for dogs to run around off lead. Large green field, plenty of trees for shade. BYO drnking water and doggy bags, lots of rubbish bins.
