Nick and Nigel created a beautiful set of wedding rings for us along with my engagement ring. They made my gifted stones shine beautifully- guiding metal choice and settings. They were able to source and explore options for my husbands ring. We always enjoyed going in to catch up on process and tease out the direction we wanted to go. Stunning craftsmanship and wonderful people! Couldn't recommend The Rolling Mill more.

Where to start? While my partner and I were living in NZ for a year, I had decided to propose and started the search for getting an engagement ring made. That search quickly ended when I came across The Rolling Mill and setup my first meeting with Nick. Nick was incredibly welcoming, easy to talk to about what I thought my partner would want out of a stone/ring, and had this natural, inner excitement in workshopping ideas from the very beginning. We probably spent a good 30 minutes just looking at the different hues of blues and greens of New Zealand lakes as inspiration for the stone. Since I wanted my partner to have a say in the ring design process too, I decided to go with a sapphire for the proposal based on Nick’s advice and then we could finalize the actual ring post-proposal. Well, turned out that my partner loved the idea of a sapphire, but she wanted something slightly different, a bit more forest green over the turquoise-like color I had chosen. Nick didn’t judge at all, but instead patiently listened to what she wanted and over the course of several months, we landed on the perfect sapphire that he had sourced. I’m talking many texts back and forth of all different shades of green sapphires over those months. It ended up being a pretty fun process for us that I’m not sure we would have been able to do with anyone else! The dedication in finding the perfect thing was just unparalleled. After landing on the stone, Nick and Vee kept us updated with the status of the ring as it made its way through production until it was ready…when we saw the finished product for the first time, we were completely blown away and had a great time getting to celebrate it with Nick at the shop. All of that time spent with Nick in the lead up was so worth it. The ring was stunning, with the hand-made craftsmanship shining through. Fast forward a couple years, we still look at the ring on a daily basis with such an appreciation for The Rolling Mill’s work. It takes us right back to that moment in time, and even with how corny it may sound, it’s something I know we’ll truly love forever. Thank you to Nick, Vee, Nigel, and the rest of the Rolling Mill gang for who you are and for the work you do!

I never thought I could love a physical object the way I love the rings that Nick made for us. His amazing craftsmanship is matched by an incredible ability to listen to and understand what makes people unique, and to conjure this into art. I'm genuinely amazed by the Rolling Mill's work and can't recommend them highly enough.I hoped to make a ring that would somehow incorporate elements from the lives that my partner and I have lived in different parts of the world. Nick listened to my story and my suggestions, and gently suggested we create a topographical ring that featured mountains that we had walked in the different places. I couldn't believe what a perfect suggestion that was and was so excited to get stuck in. Nick communicated really well throughout the process, taking on board all of my feedback and never making me feel too pushy for trying to get things perfect. He seemed as excited as I was to make it. I was amazed by his price of the single band as well- it was so special, unique, and so well crafted- I couldn't believe it. More money to splurge on other engagement surprises!I must say, I was quite daunted looking into the whole engagement ring thing and was really dreading this experience. Nick and his team made this process one of the best experiences of my life. They are genuinely invested in getting what is perfect for you, and know how to get something you will genuinely cherish forever. I'm so proud of our engagement ring and many of my friends say it's the coolest one they've ever seen.Sorry that this is long and gushing. I've never experienced service or quality like this before. Process of designing an engagement ring is a daunting task but Nick and Vee made it seamless. Nick was the man. Really talented jeweller and goldsmith. Can't recommend Rolling Mill more - the finished product is beautiful!

I was referred to Nick and the Rolling Mill by my sister and her friends that had already had rings made. I loved what they had done.Nick and the staff at the Rolling Mill where absolutely wonderful to work with.Nick designed and made 5 very special rings for myself and 4 children. They received them for Xmas 2022.It was with much care and time that the rings came to be made. The gold was family gold so that made them even more special.The result was fantastic and my children were so pleased with the end result. Nick worked with each one of them to decide on the stones and how they wanted the ring to look.Thank you Nick and the team for your absolute professionalism and would recommend to anyone to use you for a complete experience.

I went to Nick and Rolling Mill to get an engagement ring made, and we were so happy with his work that we later asked him to make our wedding bands. Other reviews have said it better than I can, but in short - Nick and the team were so easy to work with designing the ring and picking the diamond. It was a real pleasure to visit the workshop and watch as the magic unfolded. Long story short, we are still over the moon with the rings about a year on. Besides the rings we don't wear a lot of jewelry, but I would come back to Rolling Mill without hesitation for any future work we need done. Thanks again team Rolling Mill!

We had a fantastic experience purchasing an engagement ring here. The place is hidden away on Cuba Street but I am very glad I stumbled upon it online. As soon as I seen some examples of their rings online and spoke with Nick, I knew it was going to be the right place.Nick and Vee were both very helpful and patient throughout the process. They offered great advice on all aspects of the process including the option to include my partner in the process once I had picked the gemstones.This was definitely a great way to do it and something I had not considered!The final ring exceeded any expectations I had before the process started. My partner absolutely loves it. I would highly recommend and I'll be a returning customer when it comes to making wedding rings.

Nick’s an absolute artist and I couldn’t recommend him and his team more if you’re looking for something special to treasure for a lifetime. We initially got my engagement ring made by Nick and Nigel and went back for our wedding bands a couple of years later, cause the team are just so bloody good! 5 years on we’re still obsessed with them and constantly get comments from people about how unique they are.
