Ritchies Transport Dunedin

I work for Ritchie's casually 2 days a week. Great company to work for.

It's good if you don't drive or just want time to think. Have met interesting people being on this bus service.

Disappointed to see a Ritchies bus barreling thru Clyde's 30 kph wee main street at about 50-60 kph, about 5.30 Sat Jan 28. Disrespectful.

Great drivers, great buses and an overall perfect service. The Ritchies staff do an amazing job. Keep it up!!

It's badly surprising how New Zealand lacks a decent transport system. Buses don't have toilets, stop everywhere (and you need to get off, no matter the weather). Pretty much a third world service. No, worse, I could never had expected that if you book to the airport, they drop you off at night and need to wait for another shuttle that never arrives! I traveled next day, but it seems that another guy lost his flight, sponsored by Intercity. It's a pitty, such a beautiful and green" country

It is a fun place to work if you like driving. Bus quality looks good although sadly they don't have electric bus yet in Dunedin.

depends on the drivers; some of them - its almost like they are sleeping and miss me at the stops when Im signalling clearly 30 seconds before the bus is visible; as well as a few rude drivers. On the other hand there are some friendly drivers.

The bus was a hour late and didn't care about it

This is basically the only regular bus service in South Island so you don't have much choice, but I don't recommend it unless you have no other options.The people in agencies and bus drivers have always been great.I'm on the otger have disappointed but the booking system, which impacts your whole trip in the end.On my last trip I found myself overcharged, the bus arrived late, and it was honestly the least confortable seat I've ever had on a bus ride (this includes many bus rides in Aussie and Germany, czeCz republic, France, Ireland and England) which isn't fun for a 6h bus ride.On my today's trip now, I was told on the website that the stop I wanted for boarded wasn't a stop anymore and as a result booked another one, only to hear 3 hours later the bus driver saying that he is going to stop to drop and pickup people at tge stop I originally wanted to book, costing me an extra half hour driving plus extra struggles to park my car.So try carpooling instead !

Took a bus trip from Dunedin to Oamaru from this place. The spot was well organized and the trip was pleasant. Took me a around 1,5 hours to get there without delays. The overall journey was comfortable. They even offered wifi onboard so I was able to keep in touch with friends.
