I called in to their rural yard on the main road to Whakatane on the left as one slows down to take the Maketu exit.New to the district I opted to drive in to purchase chicken manure and compost. Now beware! They are over the top friendly and explain that they only sell by weight. The compost was loaded onto the truck plus, and this is what really irked me, the $15 bag of wet chicken manure was also thrown on top of the compost for weighing. I questioned the digger driver and he just brushed me off.When I went to the office to pay the guy said that will be $125" I was stunned. I questioned this but the only option was to remove half the compost and not really an option. Grossly over priced compost on the back of my Ford ute. NEVER go into this business to purchase compost. I felt totally ripped off and my husband rang rather irately to express his anger."
