Chip Shop
It really was the worst fish n chips ever, both fish and chips were under cooked, so they were soaked with oil, once you touch them your hands covered with oil. Chips looked soggy, cutted unevenly, every single chip was cooked in different color which was impossible to do, the texture was like they were never been fried but just lightly dipped in hot oil, and they just taste like oil, no crunch at all. And the fish, one side was puffed up and the other side was flat which was again impossible to do, so they are most likely precooked and frozen, and supper oily, and it was firm and dry. I really don't understand how 1F1S gave it such high score, so disappointed!

Friendly service , very clean premises. Most importantly the best fish n chips I’ve had in South Island . Blue cod fillets were a great size , also tried out hoki which was great too! Batter was tasty thin n crisp , just the way we like it! Chips were great as well ! Will definitely be back for more!

The fish and chips are really good. The smash patties and pickled onion in the burgers make this probably the best fish and chip burger places I’ve experienced so far.

Well done on raising the standard for fish and chip shops! The burger was one of the best I've had from such an establishment. We've put up with below par burger patties for too long! Friendly and efficient service, and a lovely clean shop too.

I drove all the way from Lyttelton to try the standard fish and chips. I piece of elephant fish and half a scoop and it was delicious! I had it in my car five mins up the road. 10/10. The best I’ve had in Christchurch by far.

Chip Shop
Terrible, soggy, dripping with oil. Worst fish and chips I have ever had. When they started out the chip shop was top notch, haven't been for a few weeks as we've been on holiday. First time back 10% price increase, 100% quality decrease. Spring rolls and chips used to be amazing, now literally just a soggy oily mess. And two handfulls of chips for $8.80, has to be the smallest, oily scoops I've ever seen.Go back to how you started, it explains why your store was dead, whilst the the other 2 prebbleton chip shops were packed (which we drove past on the way home).I would complain in person, but we won't be back. When we eat naughty food it has to be good to be worth it, yours just isn't.

Came here after watching 1F1S on YouTube. Best fish and chips I have had in NZ. Fish was a thick and moist and a delight to eat. I don't normally like thick cut chips but these ones were really nice with just the right amount of salt. Unfortunately I live in Aussie so won't be back anytime soon :( but we I do return this place will be my first visit.
