My husband and I took the ferry from Wellington to Picton. Just before boarding the ferry we noticed white smoke under the bonnet. It was late Friday night when we got into Picton, but we concluded there was an issue with the coolant. First thing Saturday morning we went to the mechanic. This was the only place that was open and we were so grateful. They were friendly and the mechanic even showed us the problem: a broken radiator hose. He was able to fix it quickly so we could be on our way! He said they get a lot of cars in right off the ferry with coolant problems, due to letting the car idle for the ferry. Good info to know!

Brought the car in to get a W.o.F. Car was assessed and was in need of some work to the brakes (which we expected may be the case having just finished 9+ weeks around the south island and the car was old). Technician showed us the issue so we could see it for ourselves and we were given a quote for the work. Had work done the following day, came in a couple of dollars under the quote and had the certificate issued. Very friendly and helpful staff, would definitely recommend.

Bloody top chap.Had an odd noise coming from my porsche but it was a Saturday and I was on the ferry.He stayed open longer so I could make it in and get checked.Fantastic.

Fast efficient service repairing our puncture, cheap too! Lovely lady in reception also helped us find accommodation as it was pouring with rain, local knowledge really appreciated. Great service, they went out of their way to help us.

Wow... this was the best service I have ever received at a mechanics. I arrived first thing in the morning hoping for some speedy attention as I had a ferry early that afternoon. They drove to Blenheim to fetch a part for me and fixed it that morning, prioritising it over their other work so I could get my ferry and be safe on the road for my onward journey. They are a fabulous couple running the place, very genuine intentions. I was even served a cup of coffee while I waited. They also phoned the mechanics that had fitted me a dodgy part the day before, to speak to them directly and ask for a refund for me. Amazing. I'm beyond grateful :)
