A great local cinema, halls and screens are not huge. Usually fantastic however on my last visit, and I'm going to shout it.. THE VOLUME was TOO LOW. Spoilt the experience. (Dungeons and Dragons hall 1, 8pm Monday 3rd April)

Horrendous experience from start to finish. Popcorn machine broken, no choc tops with nuts - $5 for a small chocolate bar - $5 for a small packet of Proper crisps - movie theatre was hot as Hades, theatre seats were not comfortable, passageway to toilets smelt awful. Toilets had no toilet paper and no soap! Ridiculous. Never again.

Really difficult to give this review. Staff and food are lovely and good value for money. Movie theater one however smelt really bad when we went in. It smelt like cat pee and I found it really difficult to sit in there.

Small cinema. Great if you want to be in a less crowded space. Unfortunately the seats are non-reclinable. I found that the seat were shaped too upright" and so found it slightly uncomfortable but nothing too harsh. Sound system is good."

I love coming to Monterey so much. They have such a great selection of snacks, the vege nachos are great value, there’s always some kind of deal going. And they show some really great movies too!

Always rate Howick Monterey, however they received a double thumbs up from us after we hosted our daughters' twelfth birthday with several of their friends. Staff were incredibly helpful, courteous & patient with us. So not only is it a great place for a date with partner, but the experience is just as great with many sproggs in tow!

This cinema is nothing like the huge cinemas like Hoytes. This is an 'old' type cinema with smaller screen and fewer seats. Everything about it is charming. Just because it's smaller, that does not mean you do not get the cinematic experience, it was great. Standard food available, popcorn, ice creams and lollies. If your old enough you can even have a glass of wine. Quaint but in my view excellent.

I absolutely love old cinemas. The vibe here is quiet and chill. Grab you popcorn and drinks and enjoy the movies. My only concern is the seating, maybe a cushion for some extra padding and comfort.
