Had an amazing experience at Master of India. The food was fantastic, highly recommend both the vegetarian and non vegetarian biriyani to anyone wanting an affordable, authentic dish. The staff was friendly and attended to all our needs, making this dining experience very enjoyable. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and the atmosphere is colourful and vibrant. Overall, Master of India is a great place to have a delicious meal in Taupo. Highly recommend!!

On a rainy afternoon, we walked past Master of India and decided to have some dinner. WOW!!! We were welcomed and seated in no time. We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Cheese Naan, Chicken Biryani, and Mango Lassi. Everything was so delicious, and the service was great. One of the best Indian places we have been to. Highly recommend Master of India if you are in Taupo.

We were driving by Lake Taupo on a rainy afternoon and we craved for Indian Food. A quick google search and we ended up at master of india. We were welcomed, seated and in no time served a delicious, hot Indian meal. The food was everything that we hoped for. Lovely ambience and courteous staff providing outstanding service. Highly recommend this place.

Fast and friendly service. Had the Lamb Kebab Balti based on the staff recommendatio - very tasty and clearly cooked with a lot of love, will definitely be back!

Having lived in Glasgow and Birmingham you are always cautious about going to a curry house and this one was no different. But due to the reviews we went in. Decor is fine, but the curry is where it is at. Onion bhaji lovely, tikka masala was ok. Curry’s were great though, jalfrezi and tikka masala. Service was top notch and quick. Great hearty portions. Well done Master of India

What a place. The moment I saw the friendly staff member go out of his way to hold the door open for us as we left the establishment with our meal, I knew we were in for quite the treat.Meal was excellent and spurred some wonderful discussion. Extremely reasonably priced and made our Taupō stay that much more fabulous.The decor was to die-for. Pictured is the phone by the counter. Symbolises the great communication from the staff. The walls are lined with beautiful, ornate decorations that really transport you to the streets of Varanasi.

The food was amazing! We got a good deal for the food, mouthwatering and budget friendly. Santosh has a really great customer serving skills, he really made the dining at Master of India a memorable one! Thank you so much for the chef as well for the delicious meal.

Fantastic mind blowing food, loved the food and perfect spices for my children.On top if it rice was complimentary with the dishes. Pappadum and the Nans and garlic bread were to die for!I visited again today, tried Tandoori Chicken & Bhuna Chicken, my kids wanted Malai Kofta- awesome food with the Nans & bread.Highly recommended if you visit Taupo:)
