Nice big space for plenty of people to stay. Good sized kitchen, lovely up stairs rooms. Good heating. Handy to whakapapa village

This marvellous facility is the perfect place to stay if you're on a school field trip to TNP or going independently e.g. to do the Tongariro Crossing. Cheap, self-contained. Forest & Bird are great to deal with.

Great facilities in a fantastic natural environment. Lots of nature walks nearby. Lodge can accommodate 40 or so guests. We booked the whole place for the weekend but you can also book a single bed or a single dorm room. Large communal kitchen, lounge area and comfy meeting room

Forest and Bird Lodge
The lodge is a perfect getaway from civilization but still not too far away that you don't have access to restaurant or bar. The amenities are nice and patrons accomodating. The avaliblity of 14 bed bunk room and 4 bed bunk bed rooms is good for both large and small groups. The ski slopes are nearby so great place to stay for skiiing. Overall a nice lodge.
