waiau town and country club | Clubs Association | The club was formed by a group of locals for the community. It initially incorporated indoor bowls, darts and pool teams and competitions on a regular basis. The indoor bowls is still going strong playing on a Thursday evening.The club also has a cards group who play every Thursday evening too.

Disappointed that the club wasn't open nothing to say that it wouldn't be open on Saturday the 8th April many people turned up

Very welcoming place (family friendly) to enjoy a cold drink and a lovely pub-style dinner (Thursday to Sunday). Atmosphere is great especially when the fires are roaring! Cool little playground to help entertain the little ones and from time to time there’s a bouncy castle too! Reasonable prices - best night is Thursday cos it’s $25 steak night. Blue cod and chips is always great too! The desserts always look good as well! There’s a gold coin donation courtesy van for a ride home should you imbibe too much!

Probably the worst blue cod meal I've ever been served.Batter tasteless, fish wet, mash potatoe only warm, crated salad as veg, drenched in sauce.Sticky date pudding not very sticky!!
