Early Settler - Christchurch

Warming! Stay clear of this business.Brought a shelf and it didn't arrive after 4-6 weeks as stated by the sales person. From then it failed to arrive another 2 seperate times after given dates. When the self finally arrived which I had to pickup from thier out of town warehouse and then spend 1h+ building the shelf there were 3 major distinct construction issues rendering the self unusable.Overall the business was very unwilling to be of any help and handles business is a very poor manor.

Personally my family's favorite furniture shopping place, love style and quality. Most of our furniture is from Early settler . Please see photos attached

Don't hold your breath if you need assistance. We were there to buy a dinning suite and made it around the whole shop and no one has spoken yet.

Amazing customer services. And beautiful furniture. We had been looking for a dinning room table for a long time finally found out inside and outside tables with no hassle at allSo I wrote the above back in June and it's safe to say at the time I was very happy. Its been 4 months on and well..... The customer service at the Christchurch has been shocking. The assistant manager as she Calls her self has no customer service at all. We originally said we needed the table by Xmas. With no call to tell me that the table was delayed till January and then to be told it is what it is" is unacceptable.Also note they have display unit but there policy is not to sell display unit to customers.Aweful service quick to take the money but there customer service is disgusting. I would be cautious using this company again"

Gorgeous furniture, beautiful store. Finally found the perfect bedroom chair after searching for months ONLY to be told their policy regarding how many units are kept in store at one time meant we couldn't actually take the chair but instead would have to pay $110 for delivery!!???? Customer service from the store manager was disgusting and completely impractical however the assistant that helped us originally was lovely.

I used to be a loyal customer and shopped here several time in the past years, however I see that in recent times the ratings have been very negative, and I can confirm that I bought an outdoor set in July, and I was told a number of lie and delay on the delivery, still waiting by the way. Customer care is near the level of a third world country. Last time I shop here!! Enjoy the declining rating when you don't want to provide a good customer service. Think twice before you buy here.

It's 5 stars for service despite not finding what we wanted. The lady was informative, friendly & whipped up a quote to take away in case we changed our minds.

We have always enjoyed the variety, quality and at times quirkiness of this furniture outlet. We first shopped at the Auckland branch in the mid 90's and have a wonderful glory box in our home that can attest to this. Last week we again weakened" buying four chairs for the dining table. Always a great experience as we have never been let down."

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I ordered an item close to 3 months ago, I was told it would be delivered in 3 weeks, yet I’m still waiting. The customer service has been terrible, I’ve asked them to call me, yet no one has. I still don’t have the item and I’ve not been given a date as to when it will be delivered! Be wary my experience of Early Settler is - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Nice furniture and rugs etc just a shame such long waits for some items that are placed on special. You are ordering furniture that will take 5 months to arrive.
