Nice little park in the center of town. Shops, restaurants, galleries and other places surround the park. Nice for a quick break or a snack.

It is an eight-sided plaza with a circular one-way carriageway.During the cruise ship season, which is between Octabber and May, the Octagon Art & Craft Market is held here. It may not be exactly a shopper's paradise, but does provide access to a large variety of originally designed and produced products from local Dunedin.

Scottish Flair in New Zealand. The Octagon in Dunedin is a perfect place to get some food or drinks, have a chat, visit a museum or cinema. It's the truly the heart of the city. Don't forget to visit the Robert Burns statue and the beautiful railway station.
