Fishtail Restaurant and Bar Roxburgh
Went here for a meal with my partner today after a day of walking. Drove past on our way to do some trail walking around Roxburgh, saw that they had some really good meat and vegetarian options and went in. I ordered the fishtail special with chicken and my partner had the palak paneer with some garlic naan. Was absolutely delicious, food came out fast and service was lovely. Definitely would recommend and worth another visit from us next time we are in the area :)

Excellent food. We stopped here whilst travelling through on a long journey and the restraunt exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Would thoroughly recommend!

Expectations were low but they exceeded that and so much more. What a credit for Roxburgh to have this wee treat in their town. We sat out in sheltered courtyard. The actual best part of our experience was their staff. Warm welcoming and made to feel appreciated. Nothing a problem.

We had an amazing meal at fishtail recently. Best kept secret is their outside deck area. We enjoyed amazing food Tandori Prawns, Chicken Korma and Rogan Josh and all delicious. Highly recommend. We will be back!!

Fishtail special curry with chicken was amazingButter chicken was the best me or my partner have ever tried - super creamy and rich flavour.The naan is great - thin enough to be a little crispy; we ordered extra to take away.Easily in the top 10% of Indian places we've tried around the South Island. Deserves the 4.9 star aggregate rating. We walked 27km earlier this day, and it would have been worth it. But it was only just down the road from where we were staying!If only it wasn't such a long walk from Christchurch, we'd be here all the time.

What a fantastic find. And in Roxburgh of all places.Authentic Indian food at last, fabulous flavours, great menu , within reason they are able to change things around to suit you outside the base menu.Its not fast food, quality takes time, ... but for sure its worth it.Its a destination restaurant well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Discovered by accident when checking out a nearby biz. Stopped in our way back thru Roxy and got an incredibly delicious takeaway dinner for 2. Going back tomorrow for dine--in (or outside if weather permits).

Butter chicken to die for, smoky with a hint of tomato that wasn't sickly sweet, the medium slice was perfect with a bit of tingle. The lamb Bhuna was even better, one of the best Indian dishes I've ever eaten. Highly recommended
