Hana Akari

The 'clinic' itself is nice but my experience wasn't that nice. I couldn't really smell the oils in my aromatherapy massage due to having my face down and/or covered with a towel. I found the massage technique quite sharp and didn't need my toes massaged, so I was uncomfortable for quite a lot of it. It would have been could if Miki had asked where I would like the focus before she started, as the description on her website says the massage is tailored to your needs". This may have meant I left without any tension remaining in my shoulders."

Miki is a skillful massage therapist who gave me a huge amount of relief through the full body massage I received after running a half marathon the day before. I left feeling very relaxed and comfortable in the knowledge that my post-race recovery would be helped along by this massage. Thanks Miki for your amazing services!

Miki creates a comfortable, warm and welcoming space. Her massages are great and I always leave feeling amazing. I also value the precautions she takes in relation to covid/other contagious illnesses as it makes me feel much safer as a client.

Divine massage, wonderful relaxing atmosphere, lovely massage therapist (Miki). No matter how much stress I carry into Hana Akari (sometimes quite a lot), I always leave in a state of complete head-to-toe relaxation. I think it must be the combination of aromatherapy and Miki's skill -- but whatever it is, it works beautifully.As an end note: I also want to say how incredibly much I appreciate Miki's health policies! I feel protected and safe knowing that I am heading into a (by nature) close-contact business where such care is taken not to pass around Covid and other illnesses (masks required, temperatures checked, cleaning between customers, etc.). Miki's clear communication on booking and text reminders are great. Just a huge thank you" to Miki!"

I have had several massage treatments from Miki over the last year or so and they are always amazing. Beautiful tranquil environment. Highly recommended.

I went to Hana Akari to find a new regular business I could get regular treatments. I was made to go and get mask from my car, even though there was a box of mask by the door.I previously needed to cancel a booking due to work. I then booked incorrectly online due to the system glitch on my computer.My treatment seemed half hearted, like she couldn’t be bothered doing it. I wanted to give Miki the benefit of the doubt and re-book in 4 weeks time, with the aim of coming back regularly. Then I was given terrible customer service, made to feel like I was a problem and inconvenience due to my previous booking issues. I was told by Miki she was too busy to change bookings. I decided to not rebook then and there. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome. After paying my $119, I regretted going there. Find somewhere else to go people, if you want good customer service, this is not the place.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and went to Hana Akari for the first time for a pregnancy massage. The massage itself was good the only thing I wasn't overly comfortable with was the cold reception when I walked through the door maskless as I didn't have a mask with me.Miki instantly asked me to put a mask on and I asked if she has one I could wear. She pointed to the box so I picked one out. She then asked me if I had received her text message about covid guidelines and at the time I was unsure what she was talking about and she asked if I'd read the terms and conditions when booking. I replied yes and apologized that I did not have a mask with me to walk in with. She then asked me to hand sanitize and she took my temperature. She took me down to the massage room and told me where to put my things.During the massage Miki put a towel over my head so I instantly became quite hot and congested from the heat with having my head and face covered. I created gaps to create some airflow.After the massage, Miki didn't engage in any conversation and I said thank you and left.Unfortunately I won't be returning due to this cold reception as I didn't feel 100% comfortable in Miki's presence.
