Own vehicle broke down after they had completed repairs. They helped me after hours and provided a courtesy car. Annoyed about breakdown but very pleased with assistance given todate.

Was charged for work that was never even done. I only found out when I failed a wof. When I bought it up with them they lied and told me the wrong parts were installed.

Unprofessional service. Thrifty company doesnt invest into basic tools. Couldnt perform task.As part of the AA breakdown cover Cooke Howlison were subcontracted to assist. When refuelling at an unmanned petrol station, our car locked us out with the key being inside the ignition. Not being prepared to be exposed to the cold for so long, we waited for about 1 hour for Cooke Howlison to arrive. Freezing, just to get someone rock up with nothing more than a simple piece of bended wire. That only scraped around the door a bit, but did not grip to pull up that little lock knob. Car couldnt be opened. We have been left with nothing more than scratches. Thanks! Just a piece of wire I could have found myself around the corner, I didnt need to ring a professional for that. You would think a company that is expected to perform such task would be equipped with a little more than that. At least the employee himself was a very pleasant guy! So that company calls in another company called Begg and we waited for another 30-40 mins in the freezing cold. Begg did a similiar method, just that they used something like a hollow wire with a metal string inside, that forms a sling at the end with some rubber bit around the sling. This one grabbed around the lock knob. The string was pulled and gripped the knob tight and was pulled up. Door opened. Very simple and effective. If that method wouldnt have worked out, he would have had a lock pick. Thats what you expect when you ring a professional. I feel sorry for the staff that have to embarrass themselves with the equipment given. Makes them look as unprofessional as possible and makes us wait and freeze unnecessarily long.

A bad experience! The engine light is on,and i go to check they found the fault code is sensor, they recommended me change a new one!I was afraid maybe there are some problems of spark plug and coils ,so i specifically asked to check the spark plug and ignition coil, the results are all ok,then they changed a new sensor for car.Second day happened same thing, engine light is on,and i went back to ask why this happened,i have already changed a new sensor, they checked it again told me i need change all of the ignition coil…The problem has not been solved! Finally, I had to go to Christchurch to fix the car…Really unprofessional and irresponsible!!by the way,the price is not cool…

I took my 2004 Holden Vectra in to get the timing chains replaced and the oil leak repaired, was quoted $2300 for the job and accepted and booked in. I got a call to say there was broken guide rails and they would need to order some in, with the car already open and being worked on i accepted this and they finished the job which added another $809.84 bringing it up to 3109.84. I pick up my car and over the next week i notice the oil is still leaking.I re book to have this looked at and was told the oil pressure switch needs replacing so we book it in again and I drop my car off and wait around town for them to change the switch, 50 minutes later i pop back in am told they have ordered the wrong part and the thread doesn't work, I was a bit annoyed I hadn't been called because i had let them know i was waiting for the car to drive back to Wanaka and that i had just wasted 3 hours for nothing.New part arrives and i drop my car in again about 40 minutes later i get a call to collect it and a bill for $246.68. $46.57 for the pressure switch and just over $200 for the work to fix a problem i had already paid for once and spent almost an hour waiting on the wrongly ordered part for a Holden.$3356.62 is the total i have spent and the Oil leak that was fixed twice is still leaking.
