Very nicely decorated place. Kind and professional service. Great salads. Nice menu selection. Pizza is delicious, however mine got burned corners and ingredients were all in middle. Definitely good place to eat if you travel around. I will visit again.

The meal was excellent and their in house burger was amazing. Service was very slick and friendly. Plenty of parking.I would recommend & go again. The only minor complaint was the flies buzzing around us but it was a hot day with doors wide open.

We were in today for a family lunch, 4 adults with children (so a large amount was spent).I ordered the BBQ Ribs, and they were really unpleasant!The ribs were the toughest meal that i have ever had from anywhere before.I informed a staff member that they were awful and dry.I couldn't eat them & decided to take them home to slow cook for 2hrs, and they were no better.Please remind the kitchen staff to taste what they are providing.I would have preferred to email Franklin's directly, but there was no email available on your website.

The Franklin-Taphouse and Kitchen during Mataraki weekend was a groovy experience! We enjoyed loaded fries, herbed garlic ciabatta, Franklin double smash beef burger, Chipotle BBQ pork ribs, beer-battered fries, slaw, and washed it down with refreshing beers and passion fruit martinis. It wasn't crowded, but the food was a flavor explosion.We also had to pay 15% surcharge due to the Mataraki weekend.

My fiance & I had our engagement party at The Franklin on 11/3/23. We along with our families & friends were absolutely blown away with the beautiful venue as well as the quality of service & delicious food. From the prompt email replies & answering all questions leading up to the event, to the incredible above-&-beyond service during the event - we could not be happier & more grateful. Thank you for having us! We will absolutely be back soon!!! :) :) :)

It was a last minute decision and Wow, did we make the right choice! My sister and I enjoyed a great dinner with desert! The small plates were divine and fabulous desert! Thanks to Martin and Staff who treated us so well and my sister and I were treated to something special to celebrate her birthday!!!! Thank you so much!!!

Visiting family in Auckland and The Franklin was on our list. Well worth the country drive out in the sunshine today. We had a warm friendly welcome from staff and great service. The food was generous, beautifully presented and well portioned. Everything looked beautiful but the flavours were incredibly good. If your experience of mussel fritters is of the piklet kind be prepared to be amazed. These were juicy flavour bombs. The chef’s seafood chowder is lifted by a little burst of Pernod which lifts this dish to the sublime and it was packed with morsels and fish on the half shell.Don’t leave without sharing one of the chefs signature desserts. We had the famous cookie dough dumplings with vanilla icecream. You have to try them!Thank you to the staff of The Franklin, we’ll be back!

Nice and tidy. Today (2/Ape/2022) on the day of my visit, they were short staff due to covid. Was not crowded much either. So, had no issue though short staff. But, had limited menus to select from. Infact, I had to go with a second choice. If I happen to get a delayed service, then that could have been understandable. But I dnt know why I had to go with a second choice. Washroom is clean but needs some work to be done with the big sink by the mirror. Outdoor seating available. Place is nice and tidy. Staff was hospitable. Asked for a feedback on food which was really good. Yes a good experience overall. Offers alcoholic drinks, non alcoholic drinks, seafood, vegetarian stuff, pizzas etc unless a day like today.
