Whakatane Holiday Park
Nice peaceful park/garden at the end of town bordered by the river & stopbank. Mainly go here for the little playground which is appropriate more for younger kids given the size of the equipment. There's a pair of swings, couple of slides all connected by various climbing appliances. There's a car park with wheelchair access and also a wheelchair ramp up to the walkway along the stopbank. Public toilets and a water fountain are great features if you've ever lived out of the country where such things are not common.

Stayed the night in one of the cabins. Was very warm and clean, really nice shower with great water pressure. Only issue was the air conditioner was a bit loud in the middle of the night. We were still quite happy with our stay

I've never had to ask for sugar and tea sachets until now. The one-room, studio unit is narrow and smaller than we expected. The shower and toilet had no space to change clothes. No face cloth or hand towels grr.. The staff was friendly and the unit was spotless.

Great place. Always stay here as we pass through the surrounding areas for work. Staff are blimmen awesome, welcoming and friendly. The whole place clean and relaxing. An asset to Whakatane. The staff can be proud of the great place they have established here.Highly recommended.
