Esplanade Reserve
This is a great walk with a range of scenery. You walk over land and through bush, etc. However to do the full circuit requires walking along side the expressway which is noisy. The boardwalk is great and ideal for a level cycle ride. Plenty of lovely views over the bay and towards the small island, which is out-of-bounds as it is a tapu burial ground.

Great place, relatively sheltered area. Nice on the high tide and sunny day.
