They have a great lunch deal. But their dinner menu is a little bit pricey. Average price but small portion compared to other Indian. The place is good, not too crowded, clean with clean toilet. The food taste is good although not the best curry in my life. Will give 5 stars if not pricey.

Had my husbands birthday there, we had a party of 30 including 10kids.We spent nearly $700 and it was worth every cent! honestly they were accommodating to both us and our kids! They lets us put the kids tv shows on and made each dish to our liking! food was amazing!! The waiter explained to each and everyone one of us certain dishes and was super kind, the Chef is super lovely and the best! And the staff came out to sing happy birthday too! So Thank you guys!!! So lovely!!! You made our night! Highly recommend!

The food has gotten much nicer in the last two months since a lady is working there.I stopped going for a bit as I was tired of paying for greasy food that didn't taste as nice as it once had and the garlic naan were always burnt and crispy and barely tasted of garlic.Thank you for getting back on track, team.

I have dined in and bought take-aways from The Great Indian many times - it is always pleasant communicating with the staff there and I think it's the best Indian take away restaurant in Christchurch.

Butter chicken was really tasty, generous chicken portion that was nice and tender. The butter naan also yummy and soft.The delivery driver forgot my mango lassi so a staff member delivered it within a few minutes.Great food and awesome service.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best indian meal we had while in Christchurch . Highly recommend! Food was so authentic and tasty, naan was so delicious as well. quality and tastes of everything was outstanding.

Used to love this place. Would go regularly and buy lunch or dinner. Latley i wonder if the owners have changed? The food is average as is the service. Last visit had to take my entire order back and this time we ordered large rogan josh and got an average/small. After 4 yrs of loving this place and the convenience of being 600 meters from my house im not sure il come back. I have been going to woolston instead. A shame really

Use to love this place, food just isn't that good anymore. The photo is lamb palak (spinach) curry...but very lacking in any spinach!
