Lahar Sika Wilderness
So I had a sika hunt organised through a place called fairmeed lodge but was contacted by a guide through lahar, I was told I'd get a better stag here, so canceled my booking at fairmeed. organised a date but my flight wouldn't land in time so tried changing the date to a day earlier which ment the guide would get less work, meaning less money! He then proceeds to get short with me telling me to go back to fairmeed leaving me in the lerch for a sika stag hunt and fairmead not contacting me back now! Thank God I hadn't booked any flights or ferry's. I'd be very wary booking with there guides. looks like no sika hunt for me now. if I could attach screenshots of our conversation I would. The owner Brent sounds very reasonable, but man risky if you where coming from over seas for them to pull out of your hunt no reason.

Lahar Sika Wilderness
I would like to start off by saying that James definitely should’ve hunted Sika here.. Saw some truly Amazing Sika stags. My wife and I booked a stay with Lahar as part of our vacation from America and this will not be our only hunt or stay with Lahar. The log cabin accommodation is just adorable and the people have been the absolute best. The food, and the hospitality have been more than we could’ve imagined. Sitting on the deck at night in the hot tub, listening to the Reds roar while watching the stars is amazing. We cannot wait to return for another red or a fallow.
