We opted for Pad Thai and Curry Laksa, but unfortunately, both dishes were rather mediocre and lacked the genuine flavors we were expecting. It was disheartening to find that the restaurant's impressive rating didn't match the quality of the food.

My first time trying this place, I got the nasi goreng. The service was really quick. It was good value for money, a decent amount of chicken and prawns in there. The chicken was really delicious, it tasted like it had been marinated. Overall it wasn't bad, but it was a little bit bland for my taste. I took it home and added a drizzle of sweet soy sauce and some chilli powder and it was awesome! I think next time I'll just ask for them to make it a little spicy. Keen to try more of the menu.

Sadly, this place seems to have gone downhill. Char Kway Teow used to be savory, delicious, with slices of Chinese sausage - now it is a wet bland yellow pile of noodles in bland yellow sauce. Today, I ordered the Pad Thai - another bland pile of yellowish noodles.

The Kung pao chicken was good but lacked a bit in the Sichuan peppercorn hit. The mapu tofu was very good. Need to try more of the menu because a lot of the food does look good.

We feel so lucky to have followed our gut to Mama Kitchen! The food was flavorful and fresh. My husband and I both got Char Kuey Teow. We asked them to make it a little spicy which was perfect for us! He was also kind enough to swap some ingredients for my dietary needs.

Good value for money for great, freshly cooked food. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially what is on every menu item.The 5 dumplings for $10 is excellent value.Decor is basic but works well for the lunch crowd with monochromatic artwork on the high walls. You can sit and watch the terrific kitchen staff prepare your meal while also taking in the view from Lampton Quey.If ordering something spicy, it will have heat but will be done authentically. The cold drinks do help if you did spicy a little too much.

All the usual selections of Chinese Malay (with a touch of Taiwanese) on the menu. Small array of communal tables allow seating for only around 12 but makes for a cosy atmosphere.
