I've had such a positive experience with having Russell White, from Barfoot & Thompson, Albany, as a property manager. His expertise in knowing what to do and keeping me informed along the way, has taken such a huge responsibility off me. Throughout the tenant selection process, Russell communicated with me, ensured that the property met the healthy homes standards, quickly got a tradesperson organised when maintenance was required, kept me up to date with the legalities of notice periods. He answers emails in a timely manner. His friendly, professional manner is highly appreciated. I've visited the Albany office a few times over the past year and a half and on each visit, all staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Have had Barfoot and Thompson Albany as my property managers for 5 years. The tenant moved out in July. During the four years, every house inspection report shows that the house is in excellent condition. But, when I toke the property back, the carpet and walls are ruined. There are moulds everywhere. It took me 1 month to fix and clean the house.In recent days, I found out that there is a cat that keeps waiting by the front door. Took her to the vet this morning, and the vet said that this cat belongs to my ex-tenant. The tenancy agreement has clearly stated that no pet is allowed. How can the agent (Jerry Chen) not know about that? This is ridiculous!!!!! Oh, and according to the tenant, they are friends with Jerry Chen, like a really good friend. That might be the reason why Jerry Chen hiding information from me, he just helping his friend.RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BARFOOT ALBANY THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Russell White and the team at Barfoot & Thompson Albany have looked after three of our rental properties on the North Shore for several years. I've always found Russell to be communicative and pro-active. Any issues have been resolved professionally and quickly. New tenants have always been found quickly and we have never had any issues with arrears. We are confident that our properties are being managed well and would recommend this business to anyone looking for property managers on the North Shore.

I've really enjoyed the communication between myself and Julia Chung. She's very considerate, quick to respond and fair in her judgement. She went above and beyond to understand the current challenging rental market and advised us appropriately.

Really bad experience. They just extremely lazy and only capable to make money for themselves. Not help at all, or even make situation worse. Substandard work with overpaid invoices, without any quotes in advance. Works were done without any inspection from their side. We spent 50k+ if not enough already, but managers never showed up onsite..... They have strong confident with their power of spending landlord's money without notice in advance. Warns formally given them, but they always have excuses.landlord is their bank and they can withdrawal money whenever they want easily.All what you get is the month end statement.......

Great service from Russell White as our property manager on a tricky property, great communication and was involved in ensuring the property was ready and sorted, especially when it came to compliance as a new build house. Recommend dealing with him and the rest of the Albany team.

Russell & team at Barfoot & Thompson Albany hve been great property managers. They keep us informed regularly with reports and respond to issues rapidly. They work hard to find the right tenants and are happy to go the extra mile.

I am a reluctant landlord after some very negative experiences including a tenant burning our house down through absolute stupidity.Russel and his team have taken all the pressure away.Finding great tenants and liasing with the them throughout the tenancy including inspections and responding to repairs and maintenance.Couldn't fault their service and professionalism.
