Te Puia Hot Springs Hotel Gisborne

Little hidden gem. 40 degree hotpool out back with cold shower and changing rooms. Reasonable got price at $12 per person. Would recommend stopping if you are looking for a relaxing bathe with a nice view ⛲

After a rainy long camping weekend, the hot pools were such a delight. The hotel was able to accommodate our large group in the shared block back as short notice.The hosts were awesome and super accommodating, even gave a free pack of cards and let us use their laundry facilities. We're able to use the common space with the juke box for a dance party and afternoon yoga session.10/10 would recommend a stay here, absolutely awesome hosts and a great.

Cold, damp, grubby, no food, no fridge in rooms, no TV. A lovely old building but is being let go by poor management. Website hasn't been updated for some time. Haven't had an operating restaurant or bar since late 2019 apparently. Has so much potential but would not recommend.

We were here January this year.Not impressed. I'm too embarrassed to tell people we stayed here.Was not clean at all. the Floors dirty, spider in room, stains on sheets.Everything dusty and dirty. Bed sheets smelt clean, but had gross stains.Bed very uncomfortable, had a terrible sleep. Common areas dusty, musky and dirty. Restaurant/bar closed so can't comment.Wifi unreliable unless you're close the the main foyer.Sorry we stayed here & late review. but not sorry for my comments.

Me and my partner were surprised that any touristic website or even the i-Site did not have any information about the hot springs pool. Because we were alone, was like a retreat for us.The gentleman that welcomed us was very friendly.Highly recommended.

Going back in time. The area is great, the accommodation is over 100 years old with some modern conveniences thrown in. A good jumping off point for exploring the East coast.

I didn't get to stay here but i did get to soak in their hot spring. The reception was lovely and welcoming and their outdoor bath and spring i loved. Highly recommend this stopover and i will definately return to go and stay a night

Not really a place as shown on the advertising -more of a hostel type accommodation. Room very small but beds comfortable-but so easy for them to alter a couple of things to improve it significantly -like getting clean crisp sheeting and washing down the window frames and putting a coat of paint on them.Bathroom clean & tidy with new everything & great rain" shower head but once again the window let it downThe front of the hotel could be easily cleaned up by sorting out the overgrown vegetation -perception is everything !!And unfortunately the single hot pool was so hot it was ridiculous & could not get in (& I like my spas hot !!)So would be better to promote it a little more realistically"

An excellent nights accommodation at an iconic rural hotel. We stayed in the shared block out the back which was great for access to the hot spring pool. The proprietors were very friendly and they let us look at the historic photos from days gone by in the public bar, closed sadly. Thanks Te Puia Springs Hotel for a memorable and restful stay.
