I had a great experience here with Lance. He got several of my knives to a perfect state, and he did it extremely quickly. I'm not exaggerating when I say my knives have never been better to cut with.He was friendly and easy to communicate with, very responsive to questions. Prices are great, service is fantastic. I highly recommend his services and I'll be back the next time I have any knife-related need.

Amazing service, ordered just before Christmas and it arrived with plenty of time to spare after being sent the same day. Knife is in gorgeous condition and a joy to use, and the haven’t seen the sharpening stone anywhere else but it worked amazingly to tidy up our well loved knives. I was so happy to find we have such a knowledgeable expert in Kapiti. I had a chipped Gyuto knife and thought it was ruined forever, but Lance fixed it and sharpened my other favourites. I also bought another small knife. Prices are really reasonable for the quality. We will be back for the services and now my partner wants a new knife too.

Lance at Number 27 has been an amazing help with my journey through learning about high carbon Japanese knives. On separate occasions I have purchased three different knives, all arriving well packed and promptly and in great condition.I've recently used his repair and sharpening services for an unfortunately tipped knife with a chip from hitting a bone while portioning meat. Lance was able to repair these issues and sharpened to a razor edge.He has taken time through phone calls to answer questions about purchases I've planned to make and has been extremely helpful in all regards.Would recommend for any one interested in high carbon Japanese knives or in need of sharpening services!

I needed a 24hr turn around on two knives, spoke to Lance and he said it was not a problem. Knives were very sharp and a few imperfections in the edge from commercial use removed. I really recommend this guy over house of knives or similar for knife sharpening services.
