The staff are struggling to help the customers with mainfreights inability to deliver their packages. People are struggling to get any answers from the company. The staff are awesome and trying their best but I just feel like mainfreight could be doing more.

Package picked up in Hamilton, then for some reasons transported to Auckland (according to the tracking info) before being delivered to me back in Hamilton a week later. Considering the $50 delivery fee, I don't think that's acceptable service.In saying that, once the package arrived in Hamilton, delivery was prompt and I received a text allowing me to choose a delivery window. That's the only reason this isn't a 1 star rating.

Hard to imagine a worse freight service than from the Hamilton Depot taking a pallet from Hamilton to Porirua. From date of booking to pickup was 11 days despite multiple phone calls to them and multiple promises to have a driver call me to agree on a time. Despite the booking form having a photo of the lathe and the weight as 300kg an appliance crew turned up with sack barrows.... Finally a competent and helpful guy arrived within minutes of the last chance cut-off time (the next day) with a pallet lifter. For the cost at over $600 (door to door) we expected a pretty slick and professional service. Never again! Professional Fee with Cowboy Service. Update, it took 9 days for the pallet to be delivered to Wellington. Once again there were multiple phone calls required to a receptionist who did not give a toss. The delivery was shoddy with the driver unable to get the pallet any more than the driveway edge of the road. I've recently heard from a friend who got very poor service from them when the aluminum gate arrived bent in 3 places. The driver did not care. Aside from voting the minimum here all we can do is look elsewhere for freight service in future and warn friends as well.

Waited for more than 2 hours at the Hamilton depot to pick up my package. 1 forklift driver on duty who seemed to be driving around in circles with no real plan. This is not how a competently run business should operate and to think it’s listed on the NZ stock market.When I spoke to the forklift driver about the reason for the massive wait time he informed me they have no real system and when freight comes in it gets put in any free space and he has to look through a large part of the warehouse (which is huge) to find it. Mainfreight have you heard of a Warehouse Management System software all real businesses like your’s should have this nailed.

Went to collect a parcel from the Mainfreight terminal. The forklift driver put the almost 60kg box beside my Ute then watched me struggle to lift it on to the tray. Thanks mate….

Pretty good overall for a big company, most my pakages are moved by them, they do have there ups and downs, any issues are usually related to staff, majority of the staff are great.
