Italian Bakery & Espresso

Stopped here on way to Rotorua great pastries and coffee. Filled rolls are good too. Tables in and out Recommend. Coffee is good the latte was well made. Cost $$

Great coffee and service! My only regret is not grabbing some counter food, the donuts looked amazing. Definitely worth a stop.

We stopped here today for lunch.....what a treat. Great friendly Italian service and lovely simple but delicious food and wonderful chocolate croissant for dessert. And we took away two more vanilla and almond croissants for our dinner.. and they were also excellent. So this place is in the middle of the countryside on the road to or from Tauranga/Auckland. We stopped just because we needed lunch and a break. The lovely Italian man served us quickly with lots of friendly thank yous in English and Italian. He did something which many people in NZ hospitality cannot do. He served the two people in front of us, who were messing around picking up their stuff and talking, (no complaint from me they were just enjoying themselves and taking their time) and then before waiting for them to go, he came to us and smiled and asked us what we would like. He then served us in the time it took the other customers to get their things and leave. Wow. Efficient and friendly at the same time. The place is a converted shop out in the country. No fuss. Not fancy. Just great food and great service. It's not a restaurant. It's a great little bakery/cafe. Good coffee too. Get in before it gets too well known. And therefore too busy. These guys deserve to be successful. They are doing a great job.

This is not an Italian bakery, it is just a regular cafe. Stopped in the way to coromandel around 10 am and they didn't have much stuff only a hand full of bread rolls and croissants. Very disappointed

Fresh delicious doughnuts, friendly service. We will be stopping in again on our way back to Auckland.

On our way back fro Rotorua and saw the sign. Decided to stop in to try a new place. Honestly the BEST almond croissant I have ever had! Excellent coffee done properly...the right temperature and double cup ready for an onward traveller to get on the road and enjoy! We travel.this route a lot and most cafes make the coffee too hot and dont have a range if fresh homemade takeaway rolls and sweets. A+. Keep up the good work!

Was a lovely small genuine Italian Bakery / cafe, good coffee, lovely fresh food, very nice place to stop. . But now it has changed hands. . I was very surprised when I walked in, as the friendly Italian owner was gone, (now owned by others)Their fresh cream Donuts have shrunk, sadly which is what I went in for, they used to be beautiful fresh yummy generous size made fresh on the premises, not sure I will go back unless just needing something if and when passing next ?

One of my favourite cafes. The cream donuts are second to none, and the flake pastries are delightful, too. Super friendly Italian owner

Good coffee. Place needs a good clean. Changed owners. Not Italian cafe anymore.
