Had a general eye health check up with multiple tests and imagery regarding several ongoing eye issues today with Alice at OPSM Queen Street. Normally these tests give me anxiety and stress but Alice’s relaxed and friendly approach was brilliant. She explained all the procedures along the way in a clear and easy to understand manner and answered all my questions without hesitation. Very knowledgeable and provided excellent advice for my specific conditions. Highly recommend Alice if you are looking for a true Optics professional.

I have an awful experience during my visits to get a progressive prescription glass from OPSM. OPSM service is so unprofessional and inefficient. I have been given useless glasses which did not provide me with appropriate vision; when I complained, they adjusted the frame and asked me to use it as it was. I had to go with so many hazels to get them to remake my glasses. They made me wait to collect my remade glasses for more than 1 and a half years. They only needed money and charged me $1600, a waste.

The whole team was lovely to deal with. Alice was informative, knowledgeable, she looked after me well as I have very sensitive eyes to bright light. She explained everything before doing it which eased my tension. She accurately diagnosed my ailment and provided information that was easy for me to understand. She also provided options for treatments and was extremely helpful. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Unsatisfactory Experience at OPSM Eyewear StoreI regret to share my extremely disappointing encounter at OPSM Eyewear store. While I am not inclined to leave negative reviews or harbor personal grudges against the store manager, it is crucial to address the concerning behavior exhibited by the staff. Background:Having noticed a slight crack in the lens near the screw hole in my LV glasses, I decided to visit OPSM for lens replacement, considering their reputable image and the expiration of my LV warranty.Outcome:Upon receiving my glasses, I discovered that instead of replacing the lens, the repair technician had inserted a larger screw to fill the hole. Although I tried to maintain a positive outlook, this outcome was not ideal, but I remained as happy as I could.Subsequent Incident:A week later, the same issue resurfaced, prompting me to return to the store.Outcome:Despite the second attempt at repair, the lenses were not changed; rather, larger screws were used again.Hoping for a satisfactory resolution, I decided to give them another chance. However, after merely two weeks of wear, my glasses broke once more. Upon examination, I found that the replaced screws were too large, compromising the delicate sleeve that holds the screw in place. When I approached the staff, seeking assistance, I was informed that the store outsources repairs to SOS (the designated repair service). The staff member advised me to contact SOS directly. Frustrated, I left the store, attempting to put the matter behind me.Months later, while organizing my closet, I stumbled upon the broken glasses and decided to seek help by calling the store.Regrettably, the situation took a turn for the worse:Manager's Behavior:The store manager's conduct during the conversation was highly disrespectful and unprofessional. The manager continuously interrupted me and denied any wrongdoing, causing further communication breakdown. Conclusion:Based on this experience, I cannot recommend OPSM's services and have no intention of returning to the store to avoid further confrontations. I sincerely urge the director of OPSM to address and take immediate disciplinary action against the staff involved for their unacceptable behavior.Note: At this point, my concern extends beyond the glasses or financial compensation; it is essential to eradicate the mistreatment of customers by staff members.

I went there to fix a small bend on my glasses. There was a sign on the door saying they can’t do repairs due to staff shortage. The sign was dated ‘today’. When I went in to see maybe a small bend isn’t considered much of a repair, there was only one customer inside and one of the three staff members was on her phone sitting on a chair. When I simply asked if they can fix the bend on my glasses (as it shouldn’t take more than a couple minutes) the guy at the counter said ‘No, we’re not a repair shop.’ He said they can only send it to the factory. His attitude was as if I said something bad to him by asking for a small fix, which I have done in different branches of OPSM, including the Queen Street Branch. The whole thing was quite unprofessional. Just go to Bailey Nelson or some other optometrist where you’re treated as a regular customer.

A little hard to find off the main street, but an escalator - but once you're in there, the service is great. I had the comprehensive eye test done which was much more thorough than what I've had from competitors before. The consultant I had was friendly, very knowledgeable and was able to talk through things with me in a way that was easy to understand.

Customer service by the Asian man was very aggressive and confrontational. Didn’t feel comfortable in his viscous attack towards me. Have informed Head Office, surprised how some people get hired and get to stay in jobs when they act like clueless monkeys.
