Amazing food, sent me right over to flavour town. The laksa could cure any illness. Lovely owners. Great stop if you’re headed to Palmerston North. Might be greatest thing in that area.

Great place to have a taste of Malaysian cuisine. Not exactly authentic but definitely one of the closest to the original servings and taste, especially with the reasonable prices.Friendly people at the helm, always warm and accommodating. Definitely worth the visit and a hidden gem in Shannon

Went in yesterday for lunch. Ordered mee goreng and char siu chicken rice. Chicken rice rice was really yummy, remind me taste from home..Leaving with happy tummy, definitely will go again!

Had a beautiful meal on the weekend with 8 fellow classmates from the 1982 class of Shannon School.The service was friendly and prompt. The meal portion sizes are huge, right from the starter to the main! Which is great value for money, considering the most you'll pay for a main meal is only $19.00Will happily travel hours again to have a meal there!

We often stop by Nanyang Flavours when travelling between Wellington and Palmerston North. Each time we have been, we are met with fantastic hospitality, delicious food and drink, and very generous portion sizes. We have loved making our way slowly through the menu, but always return to our favourites, including the divine wontons, roti, and vegetarian curry laksa. The restaurant is calm and inviting with fun music, and lots of customers for both takeaway and dine in. It is wonderful stopping by Shannon and seeing how this restaurant has been embraced by the community. We look forward to visiting again very soon!
