Fantastic smorgasbord options which appeared to be regularly refilled. Fantastic fried rice, sweet and sour pork and chop suey.Slightly pricier than I'm used to.

Very clean, busy but efficient so good turnover of fresh food, generous servings, clear communicators, friendly, fresh fish options but regular fish also delicious. Nice crispy chips.

Big variety of takeaway food from fish n chips to stir fry dishes. Great thing is you pick a container, I think regular, medium or big, then choose what food items you want. I'm more into fish n chips, the fish was good but not a fan of soft or soggy chips. The prices have gone up, so photo shot the billboard menu as at June 2023.

Great batter on the fish, and everything is fresh - staff are nice, but usually too busy to chat, not because they don't want to, but because there are so many customers to serve - best fish & chips in Taupō

Have had mixed experiences with Grasshopper over the years. The food is great, the cooks and chefs know what they're doing, no problem there. Unfortunately, when it comes to service, it can be lacking.There have been a few occasions where the order is wrong, they don't show any interest in fixing it, it's just an oh well" situation.Our latest experience was making a phone order after deciding what to get from the menu posted on their Facebook page 10 months ago. Made 3 separate orders

Lovely fresh food, fish and chipsalways cooked to perfection. Just one gripe, stop putting the old overcooked chips in with the orders. It’s happened the last few times and they are inedible. Thanks

worked here for 3 years and ate here for about 10 years. wontons are homemade and chinese is always cooked fresh. owners are some of the kindest people in taupō. if you want to support local businesses eat here!!

Great choice for Fish & Chips deals if you're visiting Taupo. $28 deal fed a hungry family of 4 while busy swimming. Friendly service - great taste reminds me of fish n chips from childhood in the 90s. Big portions of fish, delicious fritters and hot dogs. Ordered over the phone and food was promptly ready for pick up. Will definitely order here again next time I'm in Taupo.
