Somtum Thai Restaurant
Had some delicious deep fried fish and a duck salad. Both the dishes were full of flavour, perfect amount of heat and tang, and good portion size. Loved both the dishes. The seafood lover in me was very satisfied. Really good food, and good customer service. Would love to go back to try out other options on the menu.

Damn I really love this place hahaThe food are so authentic and some menus are only at this restaurant!The fried rice was a little bit saulty to me, but my boyfriend said it was good.And the beef soup was amazing I need this every week!!!!

Pad Krapao doesn't come with basil ... So definitely not authentic. Pad Kee Mao arrived with thin noodles, not wide, and both dishes were basically the same in flavor and ingredients. Too bad.

Very tasty Thai dishes and Variety of Menu items some are quite authentic dishes. Service was a let down. We did a walk in and was not treated like we were welcome. No one came to check up on the table at all during the entire dinner. We had to order at the counter because the staff were taking forever to come to take the order. Quite a let down from the whole experience.

Sharing plate tiny for 16.50 and the masaman curry was below average, meat very dry. I guess from Auckland standard one has to remove one star from rating by poor locals plus add 3-5 dollars to each item on the menu.

Went to Somtumthai with my wife on an early Sunday night and had great service. The food tasted very authentic and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. We ordered the pad kra-pao with minced pork and a fried egg as well as pad see ewe with beef, both medium spicy. I must say that they definitely had a good kick to them and have a nice sweat but weren’t overly spicy, which was great. I would recommend both dishes. Portion sizes were fairly large, perfect to split between 2 people. I would recommend trying this spot when in Wellington. Wish we were here for longer so we could try more dishes.

Delicious food. The fried fish salad comes highly recommended.. Authentic Thai flavours, especially when ordered ‘Thai hot’.
