I was with Slingshot for 6 years and then moved overseas. It was disappointing that their wait times on the phone were so long, so I had to email to request cancelling my contract. They never replied to me, so, after 9 days, and messaging from the UK I live chatted them to ask for them to cancel my account because I had moved overseas and had tenants arriving into my house. They said I would have to call the retention team! Not sure why they think I would be interested in staying with them when I’m not living in New Zealand. I pressed them on this and managed to get the cancellation but it was disappointing to have to battle with them over something which is advertised on their help chat not to be much more straight forward. I also had to press for the notice period to be back dated to the date of my first request.

Worse internet service. Tried to cancel internet sent an email got a reply was that someone will get back to me but still waiting for a call back nearly a week on. And the phones are forever busy.

Avoid! Slingshot have bad systems in place for customers when it comes to billing and customer service. Mistakenly charging termination fees, unresponsive customer service etc. Their billing system is trash they refuse to stop billing customers who will have no service for over 3 months, can't match your current fibre price while trying to downgrade your connection to copper. Expect to be on the phone for over an hour and be passed around different departments all who have no idea what the other has said and will attempt to pass you back to the same department you were just speaking with. Just ridiculous. Avoid!!

Probably the worst power service provider. Ridiculous rates, and awful customer service. They will tell you they will give you a call back and be in touch and let me tell you, you will never hear from them again. Im about to pay my final power bill over $750 for this month, for a unit of 2 people using not heaters etc... I am beyond sad with slingshot. This whole recent back and forth with them regarding the high bills has come to little to no conclusion. I have made a complaint with the Utlitlies dispute in order to try and stop myself from going bankrupt. But I am now in the process of moving to Flick Eletric, if you are looking at joining slingshot because they have some amazing offer going on, dont bother thats how they got me to join and lock me in for 12 months.If I could give negitive stars I would. 0/5 do not join slingshot save yourself the headache.

SCAM ALERT!!!Slingshot is a scam and must be banned from operating in this country. They prey on vulnerable customers (elderly, time poor, overseas bound etc.) I have now been trying to resolve technical issues since early May for an elderly parent who is a Slingshot customer but after 2 months, 13 emails and many hours spent on the phone trying to reach someone who can help I cannot get anywhere with them.Slingshot use deliberate delay tactics (slow replies, factory reset requests, issuing and cancelling fault tickets etc.) in order to avoid any action in the hope that you just give up.I now have no other option but to make a formal complain to Telecommunications Dispute Resolution to hold Slingshot accountable.AVOID!!

Had to pay a $250 termination fee for leaving a contract, how does the contract legally stand if the service that was promised wasnt there?Anyway If you want bad service and torturing internet connections then youve come to the right place to invest your money on this liability, good luck and thank me later cheers

Absolutely trash service and we have been out of wifi since signing up and no one to help the phone lines are long every time we get through the phone and when they needed to do something it hangs up on their end. My in-laws went with them because the sales person was soo good when it came to the nitty gritty setting up there was no help. Would not recommend!!!

Initially really good. Started having internet connection and speed issues weeks ago. No fix as yet just constant tests, resets, and modem updates then asked to communicate via email then no or really slow responses. No ownership of the issue taken, no hint of compensation, and trying to get them to contact me as a customer is proving difficult. Stay clear, do not take up any services with this company would be my advice.

An Absolute s**t showFalse AdvertisementOffer a coffee Machine so we decided to go with them and its been 7 months, called maybe 50 times always say the same i will inform my manager.how could they do like this to a customer we have power and wifi............not happy at all

Disastrous customer service! They do not reply to emails and take hours to answer phones. Only way to communicate is thru Messenger in which replies take hours if not a day.Following their instructions to close my account led to a 150 point reduction in my credit score which still has not been fixed (apparently they are working on it)Having been a Slingshot ISP customer for 5 years and spending north of $5k in that time, I only have one piece of advice:AVOID SLINGSHOT AT ALL COSTS, IT IS NOT WORTH THE GRIEF.If I could give 0 or negative stars, then I would!
