Don't order online if you're in a rush. I've been expecting my groceries since 8.30am and being 3.30pm still haven't arrived.I called customer service around 1.30 and they said I should get my order any time soon, but yet nothing.Though ordering online would save me time in my only and busy day off, but wasn't expecting such a bad service.

Customer service is often great. In general however, If your rich, Countdown is for you .If not, wow , this supermarket is ultra expensive, and Pak and save is where normal people shop. However, Countdown's fresh produce is generally kept fresher via water sprinklers, better presented , and often better quality. At a far higher price.Obviously, sometimes they'll have the odd item on sale cheaper,But over an entire week's shop: check the comparison stats online, they're true. The worker's are often nice and friendly

Very nicely laid out with great selections of pretty much anything you would ever hope to find at a store like this. It was my first time being at a Countdown but I enjoyed it as much as is possible for a supermarket. We also noticed that they had Maori language (I think if I'm not wrong, I could be) around some of the sections next to the English signage which we thought was pretty cool and interesting. The staff were also pretty friendly, my mum accidentally tried to use her Woolsworth rewards card (the Australian equivalent) and the self serve machine freaked out a little bit but the staff there was very nice and polite as he helped to calm the machine down without laughing at her which would have been difficult. Also it's probably the supermarket with the best mountain views I've ever seen so was a real joy going there.

Last straw - Why do you have the rudest, most unhelpful, miserable person as a self service attendant? As a local it is a painful process going to this supermarket. 'Deisy' - Find a job where you don't have to interact with humans, it is not your strong suit and it's turning customers away from the store. It is extremely off putting when a staff member is unnecessarily rude when they have to do the bare minimum aspects of their job like answer a simple question helpfully.

I was impressed by their deals and variety. They had fresh produce, meat, seafood, bakery, and deli sections, as well as a pharmacy and a floral department. They also had a lot of Hispanic products and specialties that I couldn’t find in other stores. Their weekly ad had some great savings on items that I needed, and their digital coupons were easy to use. The store was clean, organized, and well-stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this supermarket to anyone looking for quality and value.

This is the same supermarket as Australian woolworths but with a different brand. A new shopping area with spacious floorplan. Really quiet very few customers. Online order is convenient but some items substituted with unpopular ones. Missing a few items. Customers need to pay attention if place order online.

The dogs in this country are incredible. So in the parking lot of this grocery store (it’s a good grocery store, 5 stars, but I have a more important point to make here) there was this sorta jeep/truck exploration vehicle with what can only be described as a utility cupboard just opened up on the side, and a dog was just chilling in there while his owner was shopping. In the US this dog would’ve been running out into traffic or harassing children or something. But not here. I love this country and I love the utterly brilliant dogs here.

Really big Countdown store. Lots of great wines and vegan food items. Cashier was very nice and chatted about where we were from! We had to show our passports as they only allow NZ drivers licenses as proof of age.
