I worked with TJ on what was a complex application for a mortgage because I am overseas AND self-employed. TJ is the real deal - he puts people before profit and he goes the extra mile. He is good at what he does and a good human. In the end, I did not proceed to purchase but TJ was very good humored about it despite the hours of work he had put in. He's the guy you want on your team at the stressful time of buying a home! I can't recommend him highly enough.

I cannot recommend TJ enough.He is the broker everyone wants to know - and if you don’t know him, you should.When my husband and I went to buy our home in Wellington earlier this year we had 3 mortgage brokers say it wasn’t possible. The process was the same with each - a factory approach. We weren’t a cookie cutter case and cookie cutter cases, I learnt, is what a lot of brokers want.That’s until someone gave me TJ’s number. They recommended him on the basis that he treated you like an actual person - not just a ticket to a commission.As a last ditch attempt, late one night around 8.30pm I emailed him.He called me around 9pm the same night! My two toddlers were still up - I explained this to him and he completely put me at ease with his empathy, positivity and “you gotta do what you gotta do” approach. I knew immediately he understood that life was, well LIFE.If you needed to drop the phone and call back - not a problem.If you gave him a signed document with your child’s drawing all over it (which, yes - happened!) - not a problem.From the get-go TJ looked at our situation with a realistic but positive view. Having grown up around business minded people I instantly recognised TJ’s ability to problem solve - he likes “odd-shaped cookies”. He is intelligent, entrepreneurial and understands money.Long story short - TJ got us a mortgage and not with a second tier lender, but a bank.I will be forever grateful for his hustle, patience, perseverance and most of all positivity. I learnt so much from him and his work ethic is second to none. On reflection there were many phone calls I had with them that went over time, or were late at night - TJ never made me feel like I needed to get off the phone, despite always being incredibly busy himself.He was always available, reliable and was genuinely invested in getting us the best result and outcome he could. And he did!I am just so grateful I was introduced to him and tell everyone I know who is embarking on the overwhelming lending process to give TJ a call.
