The cleaner didn't arrive, we had no explanation and no one bothered to let us know what was happening. Did not return calls or suggest another cleaner in their team. All this the week before Xmas. I would not recommend this cleaning service.

Appalling service!!! DO NOT USE. Had used this company numerous times previously under different management with extremely good service. So booked a month in advance for a presale clean. But the new owners simply did not turn up! No explanation. No notification. Let me down badly. I will never use them again. No professionalism whatsoever. A simple email or phone call would have meant I could have made other arrangements.

Terrible! I had booked a month in advance for an end of tenancy clean and no one turned up. The explanation was that all the cleaners are overseas. If I could give them 0 stars I would. DO NOT BOOK THEM.

I could not be happier - our house has never been so clean - their attention to detail is brilliant. Highly recommend

We were the former owners of House Cleaners Wellington, Lower Hutt and Kapiti prior to 1/6/2018, when we sold the business. During the later part of last year we received information (including the negative reviews) that caused us to take legal action to recover our business, which we were able to do, so that from 7/3/2020 the businesses came back under our control. Then two weeks later COVID-19 hit...we had to deal with the double blow. We have worked hard to get back on track and have achieved the first part by having a one-off cleaning team start today. We are hoping to get our regular cleaning service back on track as well as soon as we can. Keep those one-off cleaning bookings coming in! Belinda and Steven

Unfortunately a very poor standard of cleaning for my move (also unfortunate I didn't see these reviews before booking the company). I had to re-clean the house before moving out, and despite contacting the company with photos of the dirty state it was left - never had a response.

I paid 110 (2 hour clean) for a 40 minute clean as 3 cleaners came to my house. The bathroom was done amazingly as was the stove and the oven. The vacuuming was super bad - I had to keep pointing out where it was missed and in the end I vacuumed it myself. The 3rd person finished vacuuming after 15 minutes and spent 15 minutes washing the other person's cleaning things in my kitchen sink and the last 10 minutes was spent wiping 8 kitchen cabinet doors. The cost is really 55 per hour per cleaner for a one off clean. So, if 3 cleaners are at the property for 40 minutes each, it's considered to be 2 hours. My advice is to remain in the house while the cleaners are there.

A few weeks ago we had booked for a 10 hour DEEP CLEAN (the highest level of cleaning) that House Cleaners Wellington offer. We had left our house (empty) to Hendrik and his wife for the day and did not want to stay and impose.When we got back and after a thorough inspection, we discovered that we in fact received a SURFACE CLEAN with little to no attention at all. When we walked in, there was no smell of detergents anywhere in the house except when I opened the oven. Unpacking our clothes into cupboards with webs, grime and mould spots after a deep clean is not on! There were even areas of the house that were completely untouched!!? We only used Jif, and got everything out throughout the entire house with very little elbow-grease involved. This makes us think what they had actually used to 'deep clean' our house that couldn't remove what we with Jif or if they even elbow-greased in the first place. We ended up taking two days off work just to literally redo everything around the house which put us at a huge inconvenience. The whole point of hiring a cleaning service was to free up our time.Now, for customer service... Steven (the owner) was very professional when I called to book this service and was still professional when I first called him to deal with this matter of complaint. However, Hendrik (the cleaner) had called me back out of nowhere and showed VERY RUDE and unprofessional/threatening behavior over the phone with me, saying that he was being setup and he will not come back to clean. Seems that when customer feedback is good, people are good. When it's bad then you see the real person.If you made it here, you obviously wanted to know how my experience with this cleaning company went. WE WILL NOT be using House Cleaners Wellington again! VERY unprofessional first impression. Will not recommend.Tip - read reviews before you hire a service ;)Cheers

ABSOLUTELY APPAULING DO NOT BOOK!!I have used this company before and they did a great job, however, since Christmas week I have had no reply and concerns are mounting on the suspicion of foul play...very weird that others are in the same predicament.
