Maungakawa Scenic Reserve Loop Walk
Quite a beautiful view from the top of the reserve but there are too many flight of stairs once you go into the bush part. Not suitable for people with knee problems and will be quite challenging for very young kids (bush part).

A lovely spot for a picnic, with interesting historical relics. Lots of tuis when we visited. Great views from the radio tower area.

Lovely location, and some fantastic views over the Waikato in all directions. Bring a jacket, because it gets pretty windy and cold (especially in the evenings). If you're up there at sundown, though, you'll be treated to a beautiful sight as the lights come on across the countryside.

Maungakawa Scenic Reserve Loop Walk
A pleasant place to spend the morning, or afternoon. Not toddler friendly as the grass can be a bit steep in places and ride on toys could speed down paths. Some of the trees block a full view of the Cambridge Waikato area.
