Hand down the best radio control flying club in Auckland! Great location - easy to get to and well look-after field. You can fly both gas and electric motors which are the best part about this club. Don't be afraid to come down, club members are helpful and friendly.

What an awesome facility. Thanks so much to the Auckland Council for providing a great facility for this community sports group. Many people love to watch the planes go through their moves in a picturesque environment while walking their dogs, mountain biking, running and exercising. Great work Auckland Council, keep it up.

There are not many things that are good about lockdown. On thing that is good is NO NOISE. These planes are way too noisy. I am a neighbour 800+ metres away and we can hear them continuously. You guys had to move from Mount Wellington because of noise. I suggest that the same should happen here. You are all obviously good at designing planes, if you put as much effort into making them quiet everybody would be happy.WAY TOO NOISY

This is a fantastic facility and its great to see that the council has considered the needs of model flyers that are so often marginalised when it comes to getting a fair use of public open space.

I’ve been a member of this club for six years now. I remember how friendly I found the members when I first turned up asking to learn to fly, and this has only gotten better over the years. Great bunch of enthusiastic people.

Perfect weather for model flying but much fewer people that expected. Some awesome model flying though while I was at the Highbrook model flyers open day
