Queens Park
Bright colourful shades of autumn on the trees. Interesting boulders lining the gravel paths. Clean white-tiled long-drop toilet (not smelly) with hand sanitizer. The most amazing rubbish bin in the country that compacts rubbish.

Love the dog statue. Pleasant little park with walkways & bridges. Plenty of parking. Service station across from park. Public toilets are very clean. Fully fenced park which I can imagine to be handy with little ones who need to stretch their legs after a long drive. Pretty trees & rocks.

Pretty little spot, nestled in trees. Wedged between SH1 and the main trunkline but lovely to hear the birds and sheep between breaks in traffic. As a solo woman I felt very safe camping here. Place is very clean and well looked after. Well done Hunterville! so nice to be welcomed here when vanners/campers are vilified in so many towns.

Great stopover for self contained vans, I stayed the night around 20th June and it was a cloudless night, not too much boggy mud, and the long drop toilet had a light inside which was on while using the toilet, it is on a sensor switch inside so best to move inside occasionally.

This is an awesome free camping area in Hunterville, it has a toilet, water supply and rubbish bins, the areas for parking are slowly being developed with more gravel parking spots each time I visit.I have stopped & stayed severL times and had a good sleep despite it being right next to SH1.A real credit to the Rangitikei District Council for formalising the area and for currently having one of the best attitudes towards freedom camping in the country

Lovely park with big shady trees and picnic tables. Great spot for freedom camping or just a spot to stop for a picnic lunch. There is a drop toilet and potable water on site. There is a walking track at the end of the park but I cant speak to it as we only stopped for lunch.
