Central Cafe and Grill
Nice place. Very tidy, table names are cool. Lovely courtyard, family friendly with high chairs and change table. However, it seemed I was forgotten after being asked to take a menu and a seat. After half a hour, ordered a coffee to go and skipped eating. Shame, staff were nice and did apologize and the coffee was good and quick. I might consider trying them again in the future but I really have not much reason to feel a need to go back

Loved the Chili bowl, the cool interior with street names instead of table numbers. Ceiling is awesome as well. Good music and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, my partner and I had mixed reviews of this cafe. We went here for two breakfasts in two days and had two different experiences each day. The first day was lovely (hence why we returned), but the second day was very disappointing. The staff on the Saturday were friendly and efficient, however, on the Sunday my partner and I felt as though we were either ignored or completely forgotten about. We left the restaurant without our order being taken on the Sunday as we were so disappointed with the contrasting service we received from the day before. However, the food on the Saturday was amazing and the orange juice was the best I have had. It has a wonderful atmosphere and is a quirky little cafe in a small town. If the opportunity came again, I would like to return and recommend going there, as the food was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed. Hopefully the service is as good as it was on the Saturday.

After bacon bros my favorite plays.. maybe but above them coz they have amazing smoothies n other drinks...I would have given 5 stars if not for the dull service...

Food is great. With reasonable price.In my group has totally 6 people, and we spent 19 New Zealand dollar in average. Soup of the day is tomato and bacon, served with 3 pieces garlic bread. Very delicious.

The burgers are hands down the best in the country, have to say Coffee is superb and the real fruit smoothies amazing. The choice grabs you with amazement, you just want to try it all, hence going back again and again.Since we are regulars they reward us with a points card, shamefully in a way we racked up points quickly, which was a great treat to enjoy a free meal/coffee. We just love this place, so lucky to have such a cool upto date place the whole family enjoys visiting.
