Waiwurrie Coastal Farm Lodge

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in December 2022. The lodge is located on a beautiful corner of the northeastern area of the North Island. It overlooks a bay with several beaches.We knew we were in the right place when we saw the stunning view from the balcony and fresh flowers in the room.I swam everyday. We took an official tramp across the bay and over the hills and out to the water. We saw our bay and the neighboring bay. Spectacular. The entire area is isolated, so you can be out with nature.Hosts Vickie and Rodger were so warm, welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were plentiful and fabulous. Several nights Vickie and Rodger cooked thoughtful, great dinners — reasonably priced. We drank wine — some from grapes grown on their land — and talked on a myriad of subjects. They like people. As greenhorns (American slang?), we got a wonderful opportunity to learn about New Zealand and New Zealanders. We even got a tour of the farm! We highly recommend Waiwurrie.

It is a very beautiful place with a spectaculair vieuw. Roger and Vic are very nice hostess. When we arrived we introced ourselfs and get a glass of wine or whatever you wanted to drink. They are very kindly. They called for us the bus company to go to Cape Reina. It was a plessure for us. Now we dont have to drive 300 km. Perfect.

The heaven on earth. So we called our stay on Waiwurrie. The place is fabulous, the view on the bay magnificent Vicky & Rodger are fantastic hosts and make you feel like home.
