Love this place for a roast meal.I personally go for the pork.Good size servings and reasonable prices.Staff are always friendly.Clean, tidy store.Recommend.

One of the cleanest places we have been in a long time, hubbies roast was awesome...my chicken burger was ok, no mayo any more which was a disappointment and dry bun.... but overall pleasant experience

My favourite dish is the medium pork roast with gravy and apple sauce. I love the flavour and presentation of the dish, it's prices are very reasonable and affordable for the goodness of the meal. I recommend the Deli ROAST on Russel Street in Hastings Hawkes Bay.

They do really nice meals here but find it very annoying with how little chicken they seem to not have. I love chicken and 8 times out of 10 when we come they don't have any chicken left but plenty of the other meat, order more chicken. I also hate gravy and always ask to have it removed, again 8 times out of 10 they forget to do this. Odered a chicken meal with no gravy, got gravy on it and they couldn't make another one as they ran out of chicken. After a long day's work wanted a nice roast meal for dinner, they redid the vegetables but still gave me the gravy covered chicken, got home and the gravy and spread everywhere. I tried to eat it but the gravy made me feel sick, ended up having cheese on toast instead. Now my partner watches them carefully when they do our orders to make sure they don't put any gravy on my food, that's if they have any chicken left in the first place.

Love this place. I grew up with roast meals, with meat and three vegetables, and this restaurant is almost as good as what my mother made for us.We both ordered a “small” meal, and it was very filling. Anything larger and I’d need to take the rest home. Very tasty, with all the best sauces.Only downside was the restaurant interior felt a bit too industrial, but it didn’t detract much from the meal.

Lovely friendly service. Very polite young lady.I am always asked if I want sauce or not with my meal (I always have sauce). The meals are quite large and could easily feed 2 adults. The meal prices have increased since the last photos of the menu were posted but only slightly.I myself always get the roast lamb.
