Good interior, friendly-persistent stuff but HIGHLY overpriced. My medium" steak was well-done and a bit dry and I guess my coleslaw on a side was from yesterday."

Services was great, food was good, the donuts for dessert was a big serving but definitely worth it, they were so fluffy. The mash potato was actual potato and not instant packet mash which I loved.

Great food ,ambiance & service! One of the very few restaurants in Nelson where we get big portions ! Also to mention their Classic Burrrito , Johnny Cash Stash and Rib-eye steak . Totally loved their Cheesecake & crème brûlée. A special mention to their Butter Garlic Prawn starter . A perfect spot for celebrations !

The steak was amazingly tender, no need for a steak knife. The salad was impeccably fresh and crunchy. The whole dish was delightful. The service that accommodated particular refreshments and a lovely warm atmosphere were appealing. An easy to relax and talk to your loved one restaurant.

10/10 I had a great experience in a good environment with a perfectly cooked medium rare sirloin and my family and friends! What more can you ask for? Well let me tell you about our experience with the lad and our server Vaughn, he was welcoming and helpful when it came to our questions and requests, he could have a laugh and handle our banta which was refreshing. We will be back, keep it up Vaughn!

Ordered a couple of drinks and chips. Not much sauce provided so asked if we could have a bit more. Waiter didn’t inform us that a tiny portion of extra sauce would be charged $2. Most places don’t charge at all, or at the very least let you know beforehand. Otherwise fine. Staff were all friendly.

Very warm welcome, plenty of different spaces to sit. Good variety on the menu including gluten free. We had the steak special which was very delicious, steak was tender & terrific.I had the kiwi pavlova which was scrumptious. Lovely ambience with the fires & lighting. Rather noisy when full though.

Wow what an epic flop of an experience, was really disappointed will never be returning. Service took a while to come take our orders, food took ages to get to the table was disappointed in the poor quality of food on the plate, quantity does not beat quality. Meat was dry and over cooked, potato/pumpkin mash was watery, all dishes lacked seasoning. Coleslaw tasted off and rancid. Ribs were dry and hardly any sauce, pork belly crackle was chewy not crunchy. The place was way too loud had to yell to have any kind of conversation at the table.

I was rather surprised at how poor the customer service was last night. The first young lady who'd greeted us at the door showed us to our already booked table and asked if we wanted something to drink before we'd even sat down. I said to her we'll just have water thanks and she huffed about it for some reason. Then our waitress (another young lady with long hair), asked us not just once once or twice, but 4 TIMES during our time there if we wanted something else to drink. The bill for the three of us already came to $95.00 just for the meals so I was trying to be mindful of not spending too much of my hubby's money.Yes it is absolutely important to have caring and attentive staff, but this was way overboard, in our faces and just downright annoying. Like if we wanted drinks, we definitely would have let someone know. But it felt like we were being harassed to spend more money when we already had a big bill as it was. The food was pretty good but yeah... Really unimpressed with the service. We're from Christchurch and we get treated like absolute kings & queens at Lone Star Papanui, so this was quite a disaster in comparison. I recommend eating elsewhere if you want good quality customer service without the harassment.
