Neat qerky idea of turning a house into a restaurant. Good range of alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks. Had the 3 course menu with the eye fillet which was cooked perfectly. Disappointed that the shared side didn't come out until we were almost finished our main. When it did come out was a little dry & portion size not suitable for 2 people. Had the sticky date pudding for dessert which was delicious.

Restaurant serving NZ cuisine with local produce. Service was friendly and attentive Cosy and warm setting. Food was well presented and innovative, someof the flavours didn’t work together as a dish for me. I would suspect it’s one of the nicer restaurants in this area. Make sure you ring to book. Around NZ$75pp for 3 course.

What an amazing place! One of the best restaurants in Taupo and North Island. Set up in a house, this restaurant has plenty of space to suit any party from 2 to 20. Wine list is pretty good, there is a fireplace by the bar where you can enjoy a glass or two. And the food - the food is just divine! There were 4 of us, and each plate, from starters to mains and desert - everything was unbelievable. I definitely recommend this place for a visit.

Found in the Lonely Planet book, it felt like a good dive into the New Zealand kitchen.The staff was kind and made sure our drinks were filled. The food was tasty, especially the lamb shoulder and the wine was good too. The owner seemed to know more about wine

Beautiful three tier Dégustation where you can choose one of each course. Will definitely come again for the food and enjoyable cocktails. Friendly and patient waiting staff awaited us and our food came out rather quickly. The coconut prawns are a must order.

The food was pretty good - NZ cuisine. The vegetarian starter was a bit simple though. Take a note that their menu doesn’t have everything on it and they also additionally have a vegetarian dish of the day (no idea why they don’t mention it). They only have set menus at around $90 that include a starter, a main and a dessert.

Would highly recommend The Brantry for a fabulous dining experience. Our group of 26 all enjoyed their meals and the service was impeccable. Baxter, the wine steward, was especially helpful and extremely knowledgeable. A big thank-you for making our special celebratory evening perfect.
